Dude! I paid a guy to mow my lawn last week because of this. Finally got time to research, and 5 minutes later – working like a charm! Thanks!

Very impressed with this mower Bestfor.Garden also recommend I cut tall grass (~8inches) on the second lowest setting easily. The motor will bog down if you push it too fast in high grass, but going slowly the result is great. The 2 and 4 amp hour batteries were a little less than I needed to finish my yard, but I'd gladly buy backup batteries in the future. This is a solid mower for what it is, and very quiet too.

I watched your video and tightening the cable is so easy. In the Manual, I read this:

Cable Adjustment With the engine off, loosen the adjuster jam nut.Without pushing the Smart Drive control, pull the lawn mower backwards to check wheel resistance. If no wheel resistance exists, mark the adjuster and TIGHTEN the adjuster one turn at a time until the wheels lock-up when pulling rearward.Turn the adjuster in the LOOSEN direction 8 complete revolutions.Tighten the jam nut to lock the adjuster in place.

The manual makes it sound so difficult..you tighten and then loosen 8 times (I do not even understand this since what if I tighten one revolution and then I need to loosen 8…is the slack even greater???)

My issue is that on a slight hill, when I pick up the lawn mower, the back wheels spin. When I put it back on the grass, the wheels do not move so I thought the cable might be the issue.

Maybe the manual is talking about another issue but I am trying to solve the lack of power issue

Thank you so much for posting this video. Solved, what I think is part of the problem. I think the belt drive still needs replacing, but at least this mower moves now.

Thank you for your video. Maybe simple to some, but something I never knew. Helped a lot!!!

I have the exact mower. I cant loosen that nut its so tightly on. I tried numerous times. If i finally can get it loose and thats not the problem…what is the next step? When i was cutting my grass i cut a stick and heard a snap. Thought it was the stick but then the mower stopped propelling. By googling they said there are 5 things to check on this cable. Whats next if this video doesnt work
