+Eric Carroll what size would you say the OEM cable is?You were not able to
find a smaller exact size?

Eric Carroll says:

I was able to just replace the 6″ cable. I bought 2ft (for trial and error)
of 1/16th steel cable at Lowe’s for 56 cents and Dorman cable stops (brass
sleeve w/ screws) for $4.00 at an auto parts store. I had to drill slightly
larger holes in the brass sleeves, but brass is easy to drill through with
normal bits (use vice). Get stops in latch, run cable and tighten down
sleeve screws. Leave extra on the bottom to adjust. Couldn’t have done it
without this video! Thanks!

Kevin Vienneau says:

great vid, what is this part called exactly?

Dayne Wright says:

@Ben. The lock actuator video shows a little more detail. Check it out.

Ben Emery says:

Do you a video on removing the panel in detail?

Avason1 says:

Nice video…any idea on no power to the slider door. Took it apart and was
going to change the actuator but went to close it and nothing. Checked
fuses reset by taking negative off the battery and now I have no power at
all to the door. When I go to open it, latch just releases but the door
won’t open.

Dayne Wright says:

@djtitoayala I would check the door fuses first. Does the door button work
on the driver side? Also, when you manually shut it does the latch system
pull in?
