Good video…..liked the accent……however, one thing to consider when
you say right or left side is for the object which is here the car…..so
the drain of the transmission is on the left and engine oil on the right of
the car as you sit inside…….just like when you say my right eye and
left eye….!!

Thank you for this video.

Darrell Hazy says:

you Need to let viewers know that you check the transmission fluid by
starting the vehical up and then chick it.

lloyd Y benneth says:

Tres bien mon frere, use honda oil and you will save a lot of money.

Alexey Gavrilov says:

how much does it cost ?

lloyd Y benneth says:

Don’t listen to that cat.He used castro tranny fluid,it’s a no,no,no.the
owner of that pilot will need a rebuilt tranny.I recommend honda
transmission fluid for honda and acura vehicles.I may add that on driver
side of the pilot, there is a flat 17mm bolt that say ATF ,remove that bolt
and fill the tranny ,not in the dipstip.

Alexey Gavrilov says:

yes every 60-70k is good enough.. if you have extra money 40-50K will be
perfect as well…

lloyd Y benneth says:

You replace the filter only when rebuilding the tranny.Honda vehicles are
reliable but bad mechanics mess them up.Honda/Acura owners, take notes.Honda
vehicle use 5w20 motor oil,you could use any oil castro, yavoline etc but
transmission, power steering used geniune honda oil, transfercase for
pilot,ridgeline,crv,element,mdx,rdx,zdx use mobil oil 90

Darrell Hazy says:

Also on this transmission Honda says that in order to change the filter the
tranny has to be removed from the vehical.

Alexey Gavrilov says:

this car is driven on Castro transmission fluid more then 70 000 miles
nothing didn’t happen ….. transmission like new… yes you can refill
when you will remove 17 mm bolt witch saying ATF on it thank’s for the
comment…

victor jacques says:

i prefer to use a Honda transmission fluid rather than other…

lloyd Y benneth says:

05 Pilot come with 5 years/50000 miles warranty,if the tranny fails,the
first thing we do,we analyse your oil,if the wrong fluid was used.honda
will void the warranty.Check the owner’s manual,it says: use dextron 2 in
case of emergency and replace the oil as soon as possible with geniune
Honda ATF-DW1(08200-9008}

Alexey Gavrilov says:

filter need to be replace maybe every 170 000.. replace fluid every 30 000
and filter will be like new…

isaias Huacuz says:

Cant see the filling hole can you show it with out the funnel

lloyd Y benneth says:

the filing plug is right on the tranny, easy to locate, the 17mm bolt has 3
letters ATF.Are u the owner of the pilot? Yeah right the car drove 700000
miles after u used castrol oil,.As a mechanic you know that Honda oil cost
only $6.99 per quart you need 4 that about $27,96+tax and you could charge
$90.00 for labor.I hope the owner of the Pilot find out that you used the
wrong oil for his car

Alexey Gavrilov says:

transmission dipstick goes inside of the whole that i used as a filling
hole…. remove dipstick and you will the the whole.. pretty simple…

fitrunner says:

How often should i change transmission oil again? You said every 60k or 70k
miles? Great video
