also their is a rubber boot in the back to tighten the starwheel adjuster
thing. just put the drum on and adjust it from theback till it barely
scrapes

tqadir007 says:

im not sure why you are using side cutters for everything.

Coda5610 says:

Keon Vassar says:

that cylinder up top that expands the two shoes has a bad seal on my civic.
Is there a way to just replace that cylinder? or maybe the seal? Also, what
would that cylinder be called? thank you.

hp11208 says:

Are you doing back the same videos you had before?

Fixbook says:

Yes, I’m redoing alot of the same videos with my new camera

MysteriousMayonaise says:

Watched the video a couple times now, and man those things are simple!
Thanks for the help.

XXXXHHHHHTTTTTHHHHHH says:

I find it absolutely incredible that taking apart the rear drums is so
hard. Putting in the front pads is so easy why did honda every allow a car
to be exported without all four disk brakes? Why are we so weird in north
america with out drum brakes? THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!!

Jeremy Jock says:

Is this job comparable to the rear brakes on a 96-00 Civic?

Jacob Stratz says:

Perfect all inclusive video. I had to watch a few of your drum brake videos
to get to this one, but I am happy I stuck with your channel. Liked and
subscribed. My recommendation is to delete your other vids so this is the
only drum video. Had to sift through some mediocre ones to find this superb
one.

Rob Noll says:

Thanks. Very helpful.

Iamratherdashingly says:

I just replaced my brakes following the video and now I have no emergency
brake. im driving a 94 Honda civic VX. this is the very last thing I have
to do to my car to completely restore it and have everything fixed. both me
and my dad are stumped with the emergency break not working. he tightened
the lever and it still didn’t work. I had emergency brakes working before I
replaced the brakes too. they needed replaced bad. there was a hole in the
pad

Fixbook says:

Dikes work fine they won’t hurt anything, and thanks for your comment.

Mauricio Gonzalez says:

i have a 95 civic dx coupe. i went to autozone today to pick me up some
shoes so i can do it myself. but they have 2 different types which were 2
different dimensions. do you have any idea on the dimensions of the rear
brake for my year? thanks

Jeremy Jock says:

Nevermind, I missed your comment on that in the beginning.

bassyguitar says:

Awesome givin me confidence to it myself

Fixbook says:

Your adjusting assembly is adjusted out to far. you need to spin the star
wheel back in so your shoes aren’t pushed out so far.

hitman6191 says:

did every thing like the video but now the drum wont fit(barely) 93 honda
civic dx

Patricia Davella says:

Nice video..good information, but grabbing springs with dikes? I think
needle nose visegrips work much better without the chance of cutting or
nicking your springs

BboyChrizCrozz says:

Your intro made me wanna thumbs down..

Sleepyman1990 says:
