I love Toyotas, but after the crappy service at the local dealership, the last 3 or 4 years that ended up costing me a lot of money because of their mechanics' uselessness, I would now lean towards Honda
Is a cleaner running engine a more dependable engine?
I like your videos Scotty, but they leave me depressed. I learn all this stuff, but it's to late, or out of reach. Still, great job. Seriously.

It's not another one of those direct injection engines where they directly inject the fuel in to the crankcase oil is it?
I thought they put a Saturn 5 rocket engine in there…
After watching this video, it gives me hope that all this electric vehicle nonsense will go away!

I’m a Honda guy tbh, I generally like the driving dynamics of there products more than Toyota. At any rate I’m always cautious about tech that has anything to do with government forced regulation, it always seems to create more complexity and hidden downsides. With that said, who knows, maybe Honda got it right on this one.

The VTEC was the last piece of innovation Honda has done. Ever since then, it waits for someone else to come with a technology then just copies it. That’s why if you pay close attention, Honda is usually 3 to 7 years behind everyone else when it comes to technology in their vehicles.
I believe it will be a lot better than the old V tec engines. This way we won't have to clean the screens and replace the stupid solenoids! I still prefer toyota. The new Hondas need to get rid of the CVT transmission if they could build a transmission like the build the engines they would have the market in the bag!
Japanese engineering is second to none.
This is a company run by engineers, not accountants.
Will never buy a Honda ever again after the multiple issues with the Jazz/Fit with less than 40K miles… multiple transmission issues, leaks in roof seals, electrical issues, engine shudder, OEM ignition coils full change twice, all that and both the dealer and Honda claims HQ denied all responsibility for. These were also issues for huge numbers of owners both in the US, Japan, UK and Aust.
