at least your brother knows what hes doing. Mine has to ask me how to
change his oil LOL Did he not change the filter? I could have sworn my old
2000 400ex had a filter.
how did he get a different grab bar put on?? mine is part of the frame and
i was wondering if there was some sort of mod. that you could so or if it
was a different year than mine.
i put a quart in my 400ex last time i changed it, then when i put the other
quart in it over flowed. do i hav to start it so some will drain into the
crankcase
Aint working. Im trying to change oil as we speak and the bolt on the
bottom of the oil pan is tighter than a nuns cunt. It aint budging its
pissing me off and yes im going the right way
i have a 94 300ex and my rear brake pads were going metal to metal on the
rotor and i have got to replace rotor and both pads. i got a new rotor and
pad, but when i put the 2 pads on the caliper they themselves dont even
fit…let alone with a rotor in between them. they are the same size pads
as original and i compressed the piston all the way on the caliper. any
ideas? is there another release mechanism?
@edzgarage hi, i bought a new chain for my 400ex and the chain needs to be
looser, i tried loosening the hub bolts and even taking them out and that
disk wont budge i even tried a hammer and a screwdriver, any advice please?
thanks!
Loosen those four allen head bolts at the back, take the Allen Key, stick
it sideways so it goes through a hole in the sprocket rotor, inside one of
those grooves on the ring between the sprocket and the carrier, then ram
the quad backwards so the rotor rams the allen key and pushes the ring back
until like said it is 30-40mm travel, then tighten the allen head screws up
again. Just make sure it’s not too tight or the chain could break or
stretch when you jump it. I can make a vid if you want.
Great vid Ed! You can tell you and your brother are in the same
bloodline…You both know what the hell it is you’re doing! LOL! Gotta love
the mowing in the background…A good sound! 🙂
hey im having problems. so changing the brake pads. the two first bolts you
took out there is that plate. that plate seems like its on two idk what
they are called. pistons maybe. but anyway i got the brak pads in and it
doesnt matter how far i opend the pads up to fit them over the rotor that
plate is in the way
@KingCopenhagen i just put a grab bar on my 400ex and when u buy the grab
bar they give u brackets with it and u just bracket it on to the frame.
TOTALLY NOT AN EASY TASK!! PAIN IN THE A**.
