Honda didn't always use the correct cake batter mixture. Bought new in
1974 Honda XL175 Dual Purpose motorcycle and broke two Kickstarter shafts off. Made out of powdered metal, and takes some time to replace.
Another problem had points battery ignition and water could easily condense in the cover making it not want to start. Also wouldn't run without battery.
Brother bought same year. TS250 Suzuki, it had a electronic, pointsless magneto ignition. Battery not needed to run.

Apparently in this video New Zealand becomes Japan a few times.
It’s interesting that he found the sound of two strokes annoying and today that’s one thing most gear-heads would take issue with. People tend to love that two stroke sound. I’ve owned several two stroke street bikes including a RG500 and an H2.

Nothing but respect for Honda. Just this morning I handed over a few thousand dollars for an old 1 owner Civic that was loved since it was new. I’ve been helping my little brother find his first car. We couldn’t have done better.
