How to you accurately test the AC/Freon pressure with a gauge if the compressor clutch doesn't enable ? Isn't that a catch 22 ?

Hey Dan, thanks for the video. Mine is blinking 6 times, I replaced the blower motor resistor. Is there a fix for this or would I have to take it into a shop for it to get fixed?

Hey Danny hope you’re doing well, I just got a 10’ Civic LX and I’m having problem with the A/C, it blows cold when I start driving and when I’m at idle it blows cold air but not as cold as it would be when accelerating or driving, do you know what may be causing this? I also found that after I did the AC unit test it blinked 4 times. Any steps I should do to check what’s wrong? Thanks.

What if the climate control unit has a code said AC? I followed your instruction and it has the AC code. Is there anyway I can get the code reset? I just had my AC compressor fixed but the AC is on and off itself, looks like some sort of signal not passing through correctly. Many thanks if you could help me out

Question: 07 Civic EX. A/C wasn't charged when I bought it. I was told it just needed freon. Bought a charge kit from Walmart. Put it on the low pressure side to change it. It was empty. Turned everything on high/max, pulled the trigger, clutch activated but the gauge shot to the red/full/danger zone within 3 secs. I know it's not full. What do you think?

Button Man says:

Where would I find the actuator? Is it in the dash in the passenger footwell?

Merry Brand says:

how do you get to the actuator to see it moving when you move the temperature knobs?

RSH21 says:

Sir, an excellent video. I am an automotive instructor and I think you made a perfect video.

carlorocky says:

What are your thoughts on hotwiring a switch to my dashboard in order to get my ac running. It’s an old car, ‘96. The ac works, I just can’t get the compressor to engage no matter how many parts I replace. No one can figure it out. I’ve heard of people doing this. I understand that this could kill the compressor, but if I cycle the switch on and off, maybe I could get by. What do you think? Thank you!

Robert Jackson says:

Great video Danny, a polite suggestion is checking the cabin air filter. I had my Acura's dirty enough to freeze the core and naturally stopped cooling. Swapped it and worked fine.

The Crow says:

Question:
Where is the actuator module located?
Is it under the hood?
