Didn’t show any work pulling in the snap ring
The cars not even rusty guys wtf. Ever hears of surface rust?!
This shows nothing
01:58 “..and BANG IT till it comes out.” LOL
wow, ur car is in the worst shape possible… rust?
Also with aftermarket rims impact sockets almost NEVER work, Too thick!
Thank you!!!
That freezer trick just saved my ass whilst working on a hyundai. That ball
joint was not going in for shit! THANK YOU!
would be more helpful to see you performing the work, not just jumping the
video between steps….
Great video!!! Thank you!!!
@kzkevin888 You can use them, i’ve only broke 1 so far. Craftsman have
warranty so no biggy. If you use impact enough you will want to buy a set
though. Harbor Freight had their 16 piece set on sale from 29.99 for only
8.99. Impact are thicker and can take the heat that an impact gun produces.
Try using normal sockets to remove a couple lug nuts and you’ll see how
quickly it heats up. Side by side you can see the thin walls of normal
sockets compared to impact sockets.
hi there where did you get the new ball joint from and how much? im
struggling to find one
@hwfixiturself technically a tie rod is a ball joint….
nice vid fast and easy
Everytime i watch one of these home garage vids, i expect to hear screaming
and then watch as some chicks head comes rolling out from under the car.
What a crappy how to video!
this was helpful – thank you
Did you find this car at the bottom of an ocean somwhere? Whats the deal
with all the rust?
hahaha 3:45 “im tryna get a picture of that CLIT….clip” lol please dont
edit that
I’d suggest buying a camcorder with auto focus. That video was rather
blurry. Also, a tripod (or a friend) might come in handy to help you film
you doing the actual work. I can see what needs to be done in a service
manual but I’d really like to see the techniques on a youtube video.
This idiot does’nt hold the camera still
Aw. All of the important parts are cut out! This video is not as helpful as
it could be. Would be better if the action of taking things apart were
shown rather than skipped over.
You should show how you tapped the new joint in. That would help a ‘lil
more. !!!!
Holy northern rot, glad I’m in the south, my 93 Prelude is like new
compared to that rust bucket.
You should come up to Canada where we have snow 5 months a year. I just put
new rotors and calipers on at christmas and mine look just like that.
Thank you for posting this video It was very helpfull for me Grasias again
I do appreciate the info and the time taken but it would have been so much
more helpful to actually show the work done in each step and not just cut
away and come back to the after shot. You seem to be very proficient at
automotive repair so seeing you do it would be really helpful. Excellent
description and tutorial anyway.
but.. you didn’t actually show that you did anything
that second “balljoint” you did was actually a tie rod lol but great vid!
thanks!
butt, bolt…… nut? lol
Damm never seen a car that rusted…
Dude you did it the long way. Take the axle nut off. Pop the lower bj from
control arm and swing the whole spindle out using the axle to prop it and
hold it. Remove lower bj with either bj tool or hammer then reverse
procedure. Takes me about 15 min max to change.
were you drunk when you filmed this?
“The wheel button” lol
what symptoms ur getting for you to replace the balljoint?
your video sucks so much, you edited everything people need to learn. fail.
nothing about you, good sir. but there’s alot of repair videos on here that
look like the car was used in a cow field. ew.
Thx guy ; super handy video . I have to do my daughters car & do not have a
manual . I thought I woulod have to take it to a shop to have the old ball
joint pressed out .
