Glad to help.. FYI, DIY & How to videos have moved to ZipZapDIY Channel.
Thank you!
very helpful video. You were right about the 17mm bolt being tight, mine was very difficult to loosen.
Pretty sure the 2006 has the filter in the tank with the pump and sending unit as a complete assembly and supposed to last the life of the vehicle, I could be wrong.
Is there a video for the 2006 honda civic fuel filter. And were is it located
luckily i moved my battery to the trunk … much easier to work on it
great video
almost
I still have my original fuel filter in the car over 400,000 kms maybe it’s time to change it LOL
Thanks for the comment. You need power to pressurize and bleed the system. (if you want to do that step) Don’t disconnect the battery. Disconnecting and connecting will cause far more sparking than just letting it sit there and being careful around it. This isn’t the movies, the car won’t blow up if you spill a little gas, work in a well ventilated area, keep a fire extinguisher handy, keep clear of the battery and you’ll be fine.
Great video. A great explanation and clear. Just a heads up to anyone else, I have read in a lot of other sites to disconnect the battery before beginning. I am not seeing you did not in this video, you just never said anything about it. Just in case a spark and it is so close to the fuel filter.
the mechanix gloves from Oreilly Auto Parts, the nitrile gloves we get at Harbor Freight Tools, but most auto parts stores should sell gloves of all types.
Were to get such gloves? Everybody is wearing them in their videos.
It must be nice to have three hands lol
Amazing guide. Thanks very much. Going to do this on my car Monday.
