i bought an accord then found out that they have that crap sealed for life
box [no pan] So i did the reasearch and decided to drain the box right down
and run through the gears with one wheel off ,then i got 2ltrs of white
spirit and put that in and run it through the gears the crap that came out
was bad , let it drain right out ,filled with DW1,and it drives like a
Rolls Royce took it down the rd and used the triptronic took it up to
100mph and then put it back in auto ,i got 70,000 on the clock ,they
reckon that pop before 90,000 ,but i will see how it goes ,if it pops i
will dig your vid out as it looks like it will come in handy

I don’t know if I should bring out part 2 or a “why is my honda
transmission broken” type video. I feel like soooo many people want to or
are interested in why their car has broken down and I’d like to inform
folks of why transmission repair costs so much.

Is My 1998 Honda Odysseys Transmission worth being rebuild do they have a
good rep for when being rebuild lasting a long time cause I bought one from
some person for 1500 and I took it to this transmission shop and their
doing it for 1000 and some change they have a BBB rating on the shop I just
want to know if Honda Odysseys have good reps for lasting long after
a rebuild. Thanks

Where do u get the rebuild kits for that tranny. I do mechanical work but
never attempted a tranny rebuild. Was thinking of getting like a 2000 v6
accord but they have a lot of these tranny issue. Is it worth to rebuild or
get a new/rebuild one?
Im doing a BAXA right now, cleaning all the valves in the valve body.
Should I replace the orings in the clutch hubs. I don’t have the tool to
get them apart. Everything is fairly simple. New master kit with steels,
Torque conv, and updated sonnax PR valve. This trans was slipping in first
and had 1-2,2-3 flare, 160k miles. First gear clutches only 1 fiber had
material left, 2nd and 3rd gear clutches were black and semi stuck.
I would like to see the rest of the video since i take my laptop to the
garage and it would be great to have a video to go by.
