5-6 k miles is overkill. It’s very likely the management at your
independent shop was trying to upsell to customers. Air filters are more
efficient when they are a bit dirty. Auto manufactures ensure that even if
the air filter is 100% clogged there will be sufficient flow for the
engine. By opening the air intake every 5k miles you are just introducing
unnecessary silicone into the engine.
Hey Jordin, can you make a video on how to take the aic throttle body out
of the air filter assembly? I coudlnt get mine out (idle problems) and
also, my engine is leaking, i drive a 97 honda civic lx, plz help me. Thank
