Aftermarket Sub/Amp Full Install | 10th Gen Honda Civic

Here is my detailed breakdown of installing an aftermarket subwoofer and amplifier in any 2016 Honda Civic, 2017 Honda Civic, 2018 Honda Civic, and 2019 Honda civic. I am installing it in my 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport 1.5T.

A lot of people have asked for a breakdown on splicing the Line Output Converter (LOC) so I have made a separate and more detailed video on a full LOC install. Check it out here https://youtu.be/nc8_nyKQzes or in the video description!

Make sure to reference the diagram at 3:03. The left and right speaker inputs of the LOC should be spliced to the front speakers to get a strong signal, match + to + and – to -. Ground should go to ground. The yellow wire on the LOC should go to the A23 slot, or red for accessory power. Finally the remote turn on which is the blue cable on the LOC should go to your remote cable that is ran to the amplifier.

does most of this transfer over to 11th gen? this is a good video and i want to follow it for the 2022 civic

SelfMade_JAY 38 says:

What is that thing you put in the radio for I set mine up but when I put the volume up to much it cuts out

Adrian says:

I tapped into my rear speakers everything sounds great, but ever since my check engine light has been on, and i did multiple researches and it comes out that it happens because I disconnected my battery and then reconnected it so i can the power through the firewall behind it, they say it happens and its ok buts its been 3 days and still the engine light is on, any ideas or help???

M B says:

Thanks for the help man! Best video I found by far!

bjorn joseph says:

That line out could've just been attached to the rear speakers. Didn't even have to pop out the radio

Vincent Gibson says:

Always run your signal cables on the opposite side of the car from your power cables. I also suggest installing your line out converter near your amp not inside the dash for easy access to make adjustments.

ExplicitRights says:

Hey man! So quick question! I did everything except I put the loc in the trunk since I have a sedan so I spliced straight into the rear speakers, I will mention I tried this using a monoblock subwoofer amp. At first the sub I installed was working except the outer foam was dry rotted and crumbled all away once it started playing music, so I took the sub out to replace the foam and once I hooked everything back up I realized that the sub didn’t have any sound coming out, instead the rear speakers now have deeper bass then they initially did (they’re stock) and I can’t seem to figure out what’s going on /: no loose cables… I’m so lost ):

Carmen Pappaceno says:

Hey man I love the content! I just picked up a 19 civic hatch and love the box idea. Do you have the dimensions of the box?

KIDSIXoo says:

You should not run the power cable and RCA'S on the same side. It will cause signal interference and you will hear noise coming from your subwoofer. The best way to do it is run your power wire And remote wire down the battery side and your RCA down the other sthe other side of the vehicle.

Big Ronny says:

LETS GOO ITS MANUAL!! Mines manual too and I love it!!

Hairy BizRat says:

Good video but there is no need to remove the battery as you have enough room to fish the power cable through the firewall and pull it up

Joshua Guroux says:

And no test or showing us it working ?

Joshua Guroux says:

Do you have the stock amp installed or do you even have one Bc I’m not sure if you can still do it with a stock amp or not please let me mnow

roccco studios says:

does this work on 2019 civics?

ViceWorld Gaming says:

Did you tapp into any of the speakers?

Preston Arsenault says:

Don't run your power line beside your RCA, can cause interference. Run RCA alone on the opposite side of the power line.

phillip stein says:

Never run RCA's and power wires together

777_n2o_777 says:

Dude you shouldn't be running your RCA'S on the same side as your power wire.
One should be ran on one side of the vehicle and the other on the other side to prevent any chances of Fires or Power surges transmitted from the power thru the RCA. Just a Tip.

Marcus Collins says:

Hello where is factory amp located ?
