1:17 – Why you "cheeky" little devil… Hehe

Ayyeyourboy AJ says:

Can you clean spark plugs that are burning oil before they get bad instead of replacing it?

Ren Khachatoorian says:

No automatic, no CVT and no GDI engine and you will be happy for ever.

Jay Hockley says:

Most private sellers arent going to let you pull their spark plugs out before you buy their car .
So besides of looking for blue exhaust smoke , a sign of burning oil , You can look up in the exhaust pipe and see if its wet with oil to see if its burning oil .
And if its squeaky clean , be suspicious of them recently cleaning out the pipe .

Erik Swiger says:

MICHAEL TAYLOR says:

Hey my daughters 2014 Subaru 2.5 L boxer engine eats oil and I put a new motor in it has 150,000 miles and it still eats oil.

Lorenzo Newhouse says:

Scotty, your the man……………………………………….

Energetic Fox Studios says:

Sometimes it is better to pay the $3,000-$4,000 and replace those faulty piston rings. If you do a lot of miles and constantly refill so many quarts you will end up spending a lot of money over the years. Plus, constantly adding oil is embarrassing and if you forget to do so you will destroy the engine.

Denny Tapia says:

Really glad he did a video on this.

It gives me peace of mind knowing my NA 2021 mazda3 at 60k miles still has a strong engine even though its burning about 1/2 quart of oil every 5k miles. I can live with that.

Daniel Reynolds says:

Not sure who told them to change the oil every 10k miles but I’m a Honda tech and would never say that. I recommend even with full synthetic every 5k miles. It’ll show in the manual around 6k miles. Obviously the person that told them 10k has got their head in their a$$.

hideaway erie says:

scotty I bought a 2017 civic and I Dumped it and I owned 20 Honda's and
quit because of poor quality. That Honda has leaky valve guides?

Wes Angel says:

Lower intake gasket can to

Noel Brown says:

I have the six cylinder 2017 Accord . Is there the same oil ring issue with those too?

Big Jay says:

Scotty is one of the very few people who make me laugh love the jokes

D NORLUND says:

I'm surprised there isn't a cop car there on your "drag strip" watching you.

Paul Lawrence says:

The dealer evil secrete on changing oil every 10,000 miles is only a warranty specification by the dealer only to save money. 5K to 6K is the real oil change increments. Lot of Toyota's that had oil changes every 10K had the same issue like this Honda. Also customers get brain washed by dealers cheapskate schemes on 10K oil changes to make sure customers buy new cars all the time.
