Followed their advice in video. 2013 Honda Accord. Got definite diagnoses from local repair shop (and the exact trouble codes). Sent module to these guys. Got iit back in three days. To remove the brake likes you'll need a set of flare nut wrenches from Harbor Freight. Standard open ended bo wrenches will just round the lands on the nuts. The set was $17. Still not easy to loosen. Put unit hack together as per the video (and others on YT). Bled the brake lines at the module and not at the calibers. Seemed to work just fine. Started car. Warning lights went off. Drove around. Brakes work. Cost less than $500 compared to thousands at a dealer. Great customer service, too. Which removal/replacement approach you take depends on the exact model car. Honda moved this thing around a lot. Mine (2013) was fairly easy to get to. Didn't have to remove power steering reservoir for example. Took entire unit off and then separated the electronics module from the aluminum pump body. Very difficult to loosen bolts/screws on aluminum. Put back using "anti-seize"
I sent my Module to this plase for my 2017honda Accord, they Called me and said WE CAN NOT FIX YOUR MODULE
Do you need to program it once it's done???
Can you actually bleed the brakes from the pump on the module? I mean clearly he does it, but I am just curious if it is proper form/if I'm just set in my ways of doing it from the calipers lol
Amazing thank you for this. How do i find a mechanic to do this though? I am not handy and don't want to take any chances. I also don't want to spend the $3800 my dealer asked to replace the module.
So it's the module that goes bad and not the pump
How much will the cost be
You don't have to bleed each individual wheel?
Is there a similar video for a 2015 pilot? How often do you repair this module for Pilots?
Thank you so much for this! An excellent guide
Do you need to bleed the brake calipers too or just the abs module?
What happens if you don't remove brake fluid first? Will it spill all over the place when you disconnect the lines? Don't have a fluid removal thing.
Wish you were able to do a pre 2009.
What kind of screws are they from the module? Cant figure out what tool i need to unscrew it.
