So i just did this on my 07 and like others were saying the lid was
impossible to get off so also took off air inlet tube. Put everything back,
now I have check engine light. Any ideas? Thank you.

Thank You

I replaced my filter and the housing didn’t lift up that easy. I had to
remove the air duct hose. And it got damaged while I did it. WTH?! Y did
yours come off so easy???

Beholdi Shahollari says:

I just wanted to say Subscribed! I have an 06 accord and your videos are a
big help.

I fucking love you, helping a college kid save money thanks

Rudy Somwaru says:

Very good video. I broke the cover edge nearest to the mechanic, and I
stripped two screws. Make sure that after you completed changing the filter
that you check that two hoses are still connected to the bigger hose that
connect to the filter box – I’ll never buy Honda car again if this is their
engineering skills.

Awesome! Thank you so much!

thx bro

elroy j jetson says:

Dear Sir, please forgive my out burst, as it was only a video on how easy
to remove and install a filter. And not to deviate from that demonstration
with all the routine things, that are understood. please forgive me. your
video was excellent.

Rico ReUP says:

This channel is really awesome. Thank you for making these videos.

Is this the kind of work you would pay your hard earned money for. A guy
tries to properly maintain a nice car and makes the time to and effort to
keep car in top shape and save a few bucks with good gas mileage . If
“Anyone” feels it’s just fine to pay a “person that does not remove leaves,
and all sorts of trash and not even give a shot of air to clear that filthy
air filter box …. And he films it for all to see… You might as well get
a monkey to care for your car. Then you would expect this leave of service.
Service—? Wonder what kind of oil you would get, engines are cheap, YES!
CHEAP, when that engine isn’t yours.

opsonization2 says:

take out the leaves dude

salinger29 says:

I had to use a nut-driver to grab the outside of the screws. A screwdriver
was just stripping them.

James Cline says:

Thanks for the guidance

Mar says:

very helpful, thank you

mmabowler says:

Thanks, I’ll do this at lunch today!!!

bhk1105 says:

Thank you!!!

sonyfxi says:

Thanks for the video. Honda s/have use quick release metal clamps instead
of screws. Even after loosening the screws it’s still very difficult to
lift air filter cover up and back.

Patrick Forence says:

thanks for the video.. big help

Helpful video

Joey A says:

@minh84 yep.. just did my v6 2005 accord coupe. my mom has a 2003 v6
sadan… same thing on both. goodluck.

papizbangin1 says:

bro i want to thank you this video was a lot of help… i was gonna pay my
dumb azz mechanic to do this but i did it myself thanks to this video…
your the man

Hondarepairadvice says:

@Aoomeal This video is a demonstration on how to replace the engjne air
filter. When you do it yourself, yes, you should clean out the debris at
the bottom.

MrPinDaddy says:

Thank you for sharing your experience with once per year mechanic. Seeing
you do it made it easier for me and gave me the confidence to do it. Also,
you reassured me that I would not break any other parts in that area. From
My Heart, David

Toby B says:

Thanks for the video. You do need to use some force to remove the cover.
Poor design overall but was relatively easy do it your self car
maintenance.

Ervey Alamea says:

where the fuck is the fuel filter on an Accord 2003-2007 ? it is insite the
fuel tank ? any way to replace it ? :S

Hishman007 says:

Ummm, what was wrong with the filter that you took out? It still looked
clean enough to me.

Ger Bear says:

Thanks for the video.Made it easy to do.

BMF Sports says:

Had I taken the 30 seconds to find and 2 minutes to watch this video, I’d
have saved myself 35 minutes and 3 knuckles! 😛

yal100 says:

Great video! Just in case anyone is doing this, its really tough to move
that cover out of the way! Freaked me out while doing it lol 😀

Terri Franklin says:

Obviously it’s not impossible with battery in place – but take the battery
out first- much easier access and NOBODY gets hurt. Ü

Daniel Hansen says:

Using gloves and shit….Mas PUTO!!! lol

49ers4life says:

whatever tools works!

jjulier1 says:

Wow, that was easy.

EJSJ54 says:

Thanks for the video! I have a 2005 accord with the 4 cylinder and was
trying to figure out how to get the cover off. You have to really muscle it
off! This is a poor engineering design it shouldn’t be that hard.

hamsterpoop says:

Thanks! I just did it myself!

Daniel Hansen says:

@Daro401 Well since this happened a month ago, Im assuming its no longer a
problem. But for future generation to learn: this happened to me on the
right front screw, so I had to take out the car battery, and use vice-grips
to loosen the broken screw just enough so I could take it out by hand. If
this had happened to one of the rear screws, then I dont know what you
would have done. That’s why I always save the hard to get screws for last,
just in case I make some mistake like stripping it etc

alilbitpuzzled1 says:

does this work for 07 accord with a vtec engine? there’s some other wirings
that make me cautious aboutl this.

enreekay13 says:

this helped me…it’s a good note that lifting your air filter cover off
does take some muscle, as the hoses and trim make it a very tight squeeze.

Sharkbite82 says:

Changed it without a problem, thanks!

hydro192 says:

Awesome video…… Thanks

aiaek says:

I have difficult time pull the air filter cover open. but now I see how you
do it I will try it again thanks.

sonyfxi says:

Any tips on loosening the 4 bolts? On my Accord they seem to be very
difficult to remove. I was unsuccessful using a screw driver

andrewszeto121 says:

Hi, I’m also in the same situation right now, I took the 4 screws off, but
I wasn’t sure if I am supposed to use a whole lot of force to push that
cover upward like he did in the video because I’m also afraid that I will
break something. I just want to know if you ever managed to take your cover
off. Thanks in advance.

rich says:

the dude at firestone wanted 45 bucks to do a simple 2 minute job, i was
like hell no….. watch this video and did it myself…. thanks again dude.

macjap3 says:

When you do it that way make sure you don’t break the air intake duct.

forceofmortality says:

I agree. you have to push the top part back with a lot of force.
