You can find those washer tanks at any type of aftermarket gm parts website or just eBay too. I bought my pumps at a auto parts store.

Mona Cayce says:

where did you order the parts from?
washer fluid container, pump etc.

TheRykerDane says:

Had a hairline crack in the bottom, but also had a corroded and brittle fluid line too. So the battery being over the tank and lines is bad design. Just always need to make sure to spray water and clean out that area if you are having battery issues. Glad I could help!

Man, you are a life saver! We’ve had this going on for about 3 years, and my parents were worried that we’d have to take it in. We might buy two tanks and have one for a spare seeing the tray mount to the reservoir too. Have you done others like this? where was yours cracked? I’m assuming ours is at the very bottom because we can’t have ANY fluid in ours.

TheRykerDane says:

ya I know, I was surprised to see all that. However, the battery I have in there now is only about 6 months old and the one before was the original. But yes buy good batteries for that reason.

Call me picky, but this is why I always buy OEM AC Delco batteries. they never bleed, or weep acid, so all my trays look brand new. Good video. Like watching all your vids.

ha ha, I knew it. I knew someone was going to notice the tires. Yep I am about to get some new ones. Thanks, glad it helped out and you got it fixed. Yep bad placement for the battery on top of it. Its not too hard to switch out but sure is a pain to do. Thanks for watching!

Ryker – dude you have some serious wear on those tires. 😉 I would like to 1st thank you for the alternator video you did, it helped me change mine, I think the main cause of the failure of those tanks is the proximatry to the battery – the rust you saw is the battery acid dribbling out which also causes the plastic to fail – happened to me too
