I have purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Express conversion van with the towing package. It came with a 4 flat connector, which I use for two lightweight trailers of 2,500 lbs and less than 2,000 lbs respectively. It also came with a 7 prong connector which I am unfamiliar with. I am aware that this 7 prong connector is for heavier trailers that utilize trailer brakes. I currently do not tow trailers that utilize the 7 prong system, but I am contemplating purchasing a travel trailer in the near future, and I know that it will more than likely have trailer brakes ( around 4,000 lbs range ). I guess that I will need a trailer brake system controller added to my van, but it should be a easy install since my van had the 7 prong system already installed. Am I correct about this?

Where did you get that adapter that plugs into the truck? I can’t find it anywhere and I had a friend of mine gave me the controller now all I need is the adapter
