Ryan Parsons says:

Good video thanks for the info. As noted by others turning the wheel all
the way to one side will save you the trouble of removing the wheel.

DrothofMastork says:

Why did you take the tire off? Future reference. Start the truck, turn
tires to whichever side you replacing bulb. Remove 5 or so fender skirt
bolts, remove cover for headlight bulb, turn bulb counterclockwise and
remove. Too easy. Replaced my bulb in less time than it took you to record
this video…

luz olivero says:

Dude, Fucking amazing….Thanks for going through the pain where everything
is working against you from changing that fucking bulb…..Let’s see….How
can we make the customer not be able to change a light bulb and charge him
for 100’s…Oooh ooooh I know. GMC Fucking Acadia!.

fl4532 says:

They make this task so dificult so we find our selves forced to take the
vehicle to the dealer service shop…

MrTommyS says:

After yelling at me for purchasing the car, my husband turned the wheel and
removed screws and was in. Took 15 to 20 minuntes from beginning to end. So
it wasn’t a bad purchase on my part! Men!!!!

luminous7677 says:

Dude, thanks…but I agree, just took me about 15 minutes once I saw where
the acess is. I just turned the tire and removed the screws and bent the
plastic down and did everything. Cheers mate!

domcenzo says:

Cont’d- open appropriately

Da Sarge says:

i just take out the headlight and change them its alot less of a pain when
i replace one bulb i just replace all of them the one time just because
theyll all ware at the same rate

reallygoodstuff says:

You are a savior……I started on my ‘top-down’ approach and it was going
NOWHERE !!!

Francisco Lopez says:

thank u for this vid man ……

jimcurtin1 says:

You do not need to remove the wheel. Just turn the steering wheel all the
way to one side. Remove the three screws from the black plastic wheelwell
shroud nearest the headlight. Peel it back to access the headlight, you
will not break it. The rest of these videos will help you. Should take you
about 10 to 15 minutes.

MrOutdoorTV says:

Your fuckin right about those over thinking engineers what ever happened to
kiss

John Smith says:

Thanks for the video! Very helpful. Glad I didn’t have to take the wheel
off though. Thanks to all others for the comments, they were helpful as
well.

doesit matter says:

I agree with your opening comments!!! my 2009 Enclave is identical, thanks
for posting.

lv102202 says:

I fucking replaced my low beam last year, and guess what? The fucker is out
again. The engineers should all be fired…

tmiklos4 says:

it took me about 15 minutes. But I took as little as possible
apart…remove the cover and light bulb from socket from the wheel well but
fished the light up under the hood to replace bulb… It was very
unconfortable to do but got it done… If id didn’t know this was a GMC I
would have said this was one of Fords “better Ideas”… My guess if this
was done at a dealership it would cost at least $80.00 labor plus the bulb
price…

TheSneakyMonki says:

I have a 2009 Acadia, the low-beam headlight is a H11. I just bought one…
it’s hard to believe that I have to do all this to change it?? I guess I’m
getting ready to find out.

AJ USVI says:

There’s a problem with those head units and there’s a recall on them. I had
mines changed at the dealer for free yesterday.

leftyrizzo says:

This guy should stick to his day job.

TheSneakyMonki says:

@TheSneakyMonki Yup… it’s about that hard, I replaced the passengers side
low-beam, I didn’t take off the whole wheel, i just turned the wheels hard
left and i could remove some of the screws on the wheel well shroud and was
lucky enough to be able to stick my arm in and work blind. It was hard, but
could be done.

1greggrich says:

You don’t take off the tire, YOU TURN THE WHEEL TO GAIN ACCESS!!!

Tom Sawyer says:

I have 2010 Acadia and it took me about 5 minutes to change the low beam
light. I did not need to remove the tire. I just turned the wheel and
removed the 5 phillips head screws that hold the fender well on at the
bumper. I was then able to pull down the fender well and reach right in and
remove the low beam bulb. I did the same for the install in reverse order.

IntravenusX says:

There is a recall on the 2008 Acadia right now for the headlamps. FYI.

Steve Hawthorne says:

Thank you for doing this video. It was very helpful to my research. Also
thank you for Comments below it. Based on this and comments I was able to
remove the old light by removing 2 screws and had it out in less than 5
minutes. It did take me 10 minutes to install new one as I struggled with
getting the bulb into the socket. Less than 15 minutes total and no I did
not remove the tire or any other parts.

domcenzo says:

Love that you pulled out the Spiderco and flipped it I
