Dude! Exactly Exactly what I needed to know! Install dual battery with inverter. You verified what I was seeing on my 09 Silverado. 6 inch lift made it fun lol

Don Creque says:

Thanks…same area on my 2004. My big hand pulled it through.

Jason Raper says:

just bought subs and amp also got (0) guage ofc wire is that going to be a bit harder to do being a thicker wire..doesnt seem like i can run it through the panels to hide wire…figured id ask to see if not is there a better route… 09 gmc sierra 1500 crew cab is what i got..

SRT PHANTOM says:

wonder if it’s the same on a 07 escalade

Man I'm tryin to run some 5 gage power wire thru my fire wall in my 1996 Chevy Silverado k1500 it's a 5.7 vortec.. can u please give me some feed back I'm using a 2500 watt power acoustic amp on a pioneer 12" subwoofer and my stereo is also a pioneer but due to my budget that's what I'm working with

MrAwsomeshot says:

pretty clean install, just picked up an 09 tahoe sle and the stock stero is pretty anemic so I am going to throw a 5 channel amp in with some better speakers and build a lil custom sub enclosure where the factory sub would mount on higher trim models.

The only thing I would have done different and I will end up doing different is instead of cutting a slit is instead use hot nail or soldering iron to poke a hole in the grommet to keep a nice tight seal and pull the wire from the inside to the out.

Jared Cox says:

Thanks for the vid, great help. I have a question if you don't mind though. I'm wanting to install a 800W inverter in my tahoe, but from what I'm reading if it's over 10 feet from the battery I need to use around 0 gauge wire. I saw you were using 4. Mines not going to be for speakers though. I probably won't pull the 800 watts often, but want to be able to if I needed too. Would 4 gauge work for me with the install you did? Thanks for any help.
