Cabin air filters were not available on the lower trims on the models you had listed. They were optioned on the higher trimmed models. Trim level LT had it optional depending on what LT trim you had (LT1, 2, or 3) They were standard on LTZ.
This is only in the fleet vehicles.
Yupp you need the kit to make it a serviceable cabin filter!!! Damn GM!!
Remember when my tata asked me to change the filter….. Had to YouTube it and use my Dremel
Had to google right fast thankfully my 02 burban has 2 side by side air filters
These aren't all that terrible. Now the body style before deserves to be drug out back and shot.
