Try the Crank sensor. I had the same problem. It does seem like a fuel problem but it was the crank sensor located at the bottom of Distributor Cap You remove the clip on front of cap, remove 2 screws that hold the sensor, and crank the engine until sensor is in position to lift out. (There is a notch that allows this after you crank the engine about 3 or 4 times. To eliminate the fuel issue, spray a little starter fluid in the breather assembly. I had that problem first.

Don’t think it’s the fuel pressure. I just put in a new fuel pump & filter, also replaced the fuel injectors & the 2 fuel lines. I’m not a mechanic, I just learn while I go. Just can’t figure out why it crank starts. I’ll figure it out one way or another, thanks anyways.

I don’t think the coil would cause this problem. A cracked coil sometimes works fine when it is cold, but stops working when it is hot. I don’t know where the knock sensor would be. Maybe your fuel system is losing pressure when the van sits, and it has to pump back up before it will start.

My van is having a starting problem that makes me crank it about 8-10 times before it starts.(starts normal after the initial start) Could this (video) possibly be the problem? Also, you wouldn’t happen to know the locations of the knock sensor on the driver side? I have a brand new knock sensor and a dangling wire that goes to it but can’t seem to find the screw-in location in my 95 GMC Safari van. PLEASE HELP! I’m hoping this is the reason why my engine light is on.
