My question is mine has gotten extremely hot and melted the wires I went to the junkyard and noticed multiple trucks that seem to of had the same problem Are they notorious for getting hot?
Hey I’m not sure if my headlight switch is bad or not. The issue I’m having is I can’t get my parking lights to Turn on when I switch the headlight switch to parking lights. Will changing the switch fix my issue?
My switch seems fine, but knob is sticky & gooey. Doesn't just pull off. Should I pull it with pliers ? Will that break the switch ?
What about replacing only the knob? My switch is fine but the knob is partially melted.
Thanks your video gave me all the information I needed to do this job in about 15 minutes !
With a bad switch, At night would it cause my headlights to kick off and go into DRL mode? Headlights will work at full function with brights and all until either I hit a bump or until something weird happens then it goes into DRL mode and I no longer have high beams. Although I did notice if I have the parking brake depressed and turn on the headlights they turn on once I release the parking brake its a 50/50 chance that it'll either work like they're supposed to or go into DRL mode.
