If there isn’t a tab to pull out, there could be a small alen screw depending what type of vehicle it is. Usually on most vehicles there’s a small tab to pull out.

appregios says:

ok i have no tab for release on wiper i suppose you pry it gently off? so you can get to plate, its what manual says, better to watch it done ok answer my own question?

TakashiNippon says:

got to replace my wipers pivot and link :/

1A Auto Parts says:

The issue could either be with the wiper arms or the wiper transmission.

We currently do not have an auto repair video on this particular repair. We’ll keep this in mind for any repairs that we might make in the future.

Tried to remove heavy wet snow from my 1991 GMC Sierra windshield using the wipers. Bad idea! Linkage popped off the wiper motor transmission and I had to go in to make repairs. Your video made it easy. I consult your videos often. Thanks a million.

Jordan Murray says:

Oh thanks I found its the main linkage has fallen off. It is like a ball joint and this one swivels all the way around in circles. Anyway I can NOT, for the life of me to get it to stay on. It seems to pop back on but it falls rght off. Driving me nuts. I can not see a clip or anything that came off and I can find anything online about an 07 silverado linkage. Oh well. Thanks for your video. It was similar to mine. Enough for me to find out was was wrong. Thanks.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to inspect the linkage to see if it’s binding up somewhere.

Jordan Murray says:

I have a 07 silverado and I can hear the motor and it grabs the blades and moves them about 8 inches and thats it. Could it just be the linkage ?

Thomas Bloemker says:

I already replace mine but I miss the fact that the arm are adjustable. So thanks for the video! The arms currently rest about 4 inches too high…
