Thanks for you reply…I wrestled with that thing for quite a while, really
stubborn one. I used a bit of penetrating oil and had my friend come over
and tap the hub with a hammer while I tapped the spindle with a hammer(wood
in between of course) and we were able to free it. One hammer did not work.
Thanks again for the reply.
You should be able to tap it out as shown in the video, you might be able
to try a little PB Blaster on it if it’s rusty and you need to free it up.
Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
My hub is stuck on my spindal
If you bought it from us and it showed an ABS sensor wire in the picture
than it should have came with one, call our sales staff and they can help
you out. If you bought it from someone else, there may be a tab on the hub
or some way to attach it. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
What if the new hub I’ve got doesn’t have an ABS sensor with it, is the
other old one reattachable to the new hub?
If it does this when you not on the brakes you may want to check the air
pressure in the tires and possibly the alignment of the vehicle. 1aauto.com

hello! I am French, my vehicle is a LT 1999 chevrolet blazer, thank you for
your advice!, thanks to you, I have great pleasure to service my car!
Unfortunately at this time we do not have a video for the rear wheel
bearings. The rears will require you to remove the axles from the vehicle
to access them.
Hi, I have a 2004 Chevy Avalanche 1500 4×4 Z71 that needs the rear wheel
bearings replaced. Do you have any videos pertaining to this, or any advice
for my husband as he tackles this job? Thank you in advance for any help
you can provide.
@1aauto Item arrived 2 days after I purchased it. Finally have a day to
install it but running into some problems. Seems the hub is rusted on and
cant seem to pry it off. Used plenty of PB Blaster and still nothing. Tried
your method in the video as well. Hopefully it comes loose soon. Maybe I
should purchase a gear puller? Unfortunately my options are limited.I dont
want to keep whacking it and possibly damage something.
The rears are going to be different than the fronts because the fronts are
a wheel hub and bearing but the rears have an axle.
i have a 99 blazer and the wheel bearings on the front have been replaced
about 4 times now within two years, what could be causing the bearings or
hub assemblies to go bad over and over?
@mastermequon It depends on the type of driving you do, and also how many
mile you put on the vehicle. We offer some great prices on the wheel
bearing assemblies that fit your 2001 GMC S-15 Jimmy. Here’s a link to them
on our website.

I have applied a generous amount of PB Blaster but it is still frozen.
Respond to this video… Check your trans fluid to if you have a manual
trans.
@thebubbaking17 its the same thing. only difference is you need a 3/8″
allen wrench to remove the brake caliper
Thank you for visiting our cannel on YouTube. We can ship items that we
stock to Canada. There would be a shipping fee to Canada. 1aauto.com

Good point this video makes, USE JACK STANDS.
It should come right off, you may have to tap the bearing with a sledge
hammer to break it free.
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching. Have a great day! 1aauto.com

Thank You!
@Blackops353 When hubs go bad they generally cause a humming noise that
will change pitch as you turn your steering wheel for curves. A whooping
sound while accelerating sounds more like a problem with your airbox or
intake hose in to the engine, or maybe your rear differential, could be a
few different things.
I suppose its not that critical, but everything I look up for the hub nut
tourqe spec. says “103” ft lbs, but you suggest “95 ft lbs…..I’m getting
ready to do this to my 99 jimmy 4×4…..should I torque to 103 or 95?
thanks
2002 s 10 4.3 l vortec v6 Extreme side step. first of all , let me thank
you for your videos, im very gratefull fir all the money you saved me, with
4 kids , i cant afford to take my extreme to the mechanic. so again thnx. 1
quest. my truck is making a strange noise when I m breaking. not a squeal
is more like a grind. only when I break slow and release and then brake. I
hope that makes sense to you that’s the only way I can explain. pls help.
thank you and god blessy u and your loved ones!
It should be a fairly similar procedure, you wouldn’t have an axle in the
front to deal with though.
Is an S10 going to have the same hub on all 4 wheels? Is the procedure to
replace the rear ones the same?
@russelln114 the hub can get seized on to the axle, then you will need a
puller. I personally have not expreienced this. So chances are, on this
type of hub, you can get it apart without the puller.
This video was very helpful. I installed the hub, but, it is not flush. any
suggestions on what may be wrong? will it cause a problem? it’s about a
quarter inch away from being flush.
Is this a common problem? My Sierra 1500 makes a grinding noise in the
front right only when I turn hard right. Also it sounds like an airplane.
The faster I go the louder it is
@Bassman8519 It sounds as though there could be a piece of rust or
something causing the hub not to sit flush. This would need to be cleaned
and removed so that when you bolt the hub to the knuckle it sits flush.
very good video! going to get it done on 03 s10 tonight thanks for the info
1aauto!
@1aauto yes, and the surface where the assembly meets the carrier hub.
some people say you need a puller to get the hub loose. I don’t have a
puller. Is it as easy to seprate the hub like you did with a screwdriver?
