Another great video by 1aauto. I’ve had to replace my interior door handle
twice on my Suburban and you do a great job in showing every step via
multiple videos. Thanks! Mike
Great video I am 14 and I did it all by my self and I did it perfect 🙂
I’ve had a window off it’s track for weeks. Because of this video I’m
fixing it TODAY! Thanks a ton.
This video shows you how to remove the window switch on a 99-02 Tahoe &
Yukon.
Thanks for the Video. Just a word of caution. I broke off a plastic part in
trying to use these instructons on a 2003 Yukon. While the panel looks
identical to the one here, the power window swith asssembly is attached at
the front end from underneath (pointy end) with a small screw that is
accessed from below but only after the door panel is pulled away from the
door. If you try to pry it out as shown, it’ll snap!
I HAVE A QUESTION IS THIS WOULD HELP ME FOR A GMC YUKON XL 2002???
What about the third screw that’s at the bottom of the door panel near the
jam!? This says its 99-02, but you’re working on an 03.. ?
@Cousinorange Currently we do not have a repair video that shows this
procedure. It may be held in with a couple of screws and/or push pins to
hold it in place. Hope this helps.
is the procedure the same for chevy tahoe 2000…i need to replaced my
power window motor? thanks
Thanks for watching. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
@deadly107 Yes
@CLUBDUBCITY Yes, same procedure
how you remove the back speaker panel in the trunk on a 2001 chevy tahoe ls
would this work for a 99 suburban?
If you follow the directions, process is excactly as described. It really
is that easy!!
Great video! … Do I need to pull the door panel to replace the door
speakers?
My Silverado is an 02, and it has that bottom bolt. This video rules. Too
easy and no plastic clips to replace.
@ediboyzee Yes it should be the same on your vehicle.
this was very helpful thanks
You said in the video good for a ’99 – 2003 GMC/Chevy Truck or Suburban….
but my door panel on my 1999 GMC Suburban DOES NOT look like this door
panel. It’s an SLT. Are the bolts in similar places?
@warreng30 Very similar yes
Super helpful! Thank you.
how can you replace the door light without taking the door panel off , am
afraid to crack it .
Unfortunately I believe that bracket is part of the door paneling.
Thanks for that… but what do you do when the window broke and someone
raised it too high and now the glass clamps and cables are loose?
Do you have a video on how to remove the door itself from the hinges and
reinstall?
@Pachyderm12 You would need to take the door panel off so that you can
screw it back into the door.
Like another post here, the 2004 Suburban has the window and control
cluster attached from underneath the door panel and cannot be removed from
the top. The second screw to remove is next to the lock release instead of
inside the door panel near the control cluster. Trying to remove the
control cluster from the top may cause some damage since it is screwed in
from the bottom.
Just what I needed. Thx much!
Can you please comment about the window switch removal not being correct?
Is it correct or not? I have used your videos to save myself a load of
aggravation. Thank you.
Will this video show me how to drop everything i take off?
@usctrojansdoug No, that is the older body style, we do have a video for
that.
