Since you are not reusing the original bolts, another option would be to use a nut splitter. Probably get to use it many times down the road. I used on on a boat trailer rebuild snd it was worth its weight in gold.
Torque the bolts clockwise until they snap off. This is the quick and easy way.
100% Improvement in looks!! Although I might have waited until you could get the nyloc nuts. (I also much prefer them to lock washers)
Great timing! I have my bumper removed right now to clean it and paint the rear side. I'll be sure to replace the bolts while at it.. they are quite rusty looking.
