some guy told me to just remove the oil filter and you can remove the starter without removing the exhaust …..is that also a way or is he full of bs ? great video !!!
Knock sensor? motor mount? This video encourages insanity, don't do it!, bring it to a shop if you can afford it. Just spent a full day under that overdesigned P.O.S. It's not an easy job to say the least. This guy should be in jail for promoting this kinda thing.
Crazy that they chose to locate the starter near the heat of the catalytic converter! That decision alone has to increase the failure rate of the starter…smh
My wifes equinox dies when we start or tries to die when we take off it first thing in the morning but after it does it its good till motor cools off again its werid idk about it have a blessed day
Appreciate the video man.
Looks like a pain in the arsk

Messing with that catalytic converter is opening another world of problems.

I've always just removed the mount. Takes no time and no danger of breaking an exhaust bolt/stud
I had to remove the oil filter and the knock sensor as well in order to get enough clearance to remove the starter.
What a pain

If they don't get those oil leaks fixed, they'll be paying you to replace the starter again in a couple of years.
Well that is convenient. I can change my starter in minutes on my vehicles not hours modern vehicles are a joke
