Great vid will check out my 06 sierra have this button and didn’t know what
it did. Just got the truck less then a week ago and haven’t mastered
everything. I got a full bed of mulch in it maybe I should turn it on
KUTGW.

burtonkidd says:

hey brian great video. fixed my tow haul, just soldered the wires back
together 🙂
quick question, numb nuts before me hard wired in a aftermarket radio and i
had no instrument lights for a while, i found my illumination wire behind
the radio and just spliced it into the switched 12v. If i were to get the
correct aftermarket harness for my sierra would i be able to use the dimmer
and headlight switch to turn my cluster lights on?

Michael Sackstein says:

+briansmobile1 my 2006 Honda Pilot has some clunking near the front right
wheel every time I go over a bump. I jacked it up on that side with the
factory jack and didn’t find any play in the wheel or the suspension
components, nor have I seen any leakage coming from the strut. I’m
wondering if it could be something in the glove box, but it seems to me
like it’s something from under neath the car. Do you think maybe I would’ve
been able to detect it better had I jacked up both sides of the vehicle or
does that not matter? do you have any ideas what it could be, maybe worn
bushings or something like that?

asustech007 says:

That switch you installed looks just fine, that’s probably where GM should
have put it in the first place. When drilling plastic though, next time use
the right size paddle bit, they work better for plastic and won’t bind up.

Sirus says:

Meh, 360p, I’ll comeback when YT’s finished a 720p render.

ghtowagon says:

How to you get that tilt lever off? Just pull it?

James Brewer says:

Hey Brian I have a 2000 s10 with the inline 4 I replaced the gear box
because it had allot of slop now my power steer ing pump wines but only at
high rpm while turning the wheels I’ve already jacked it up and turned them
more then hundred times with truck off and on and also hooked a vacuum
bleeder up to the cap and put vacuum on it to make sure no air no bubbles
in the reservoir and no foam think the oil they pack those gear boxs with
killed my power steering pump ? Thanks!!!

MrEdsster says:

Another fine moment.

sms373 says:

Personally i would have just replaced the lever it looks much less cheesy.

Jesse Foulk says:

spannerz says:

Really good info!these videos are awesome man!

Goregoon says:

Thanks for making this video Brian! I have the same problem with my o/d
button for my Dakota. I have left it be cuz i figured I would have to buy
the switch that goes on my shifter and re-string it down through the
shifter and all that. I was going to do the same thing but with an on/off
switch, I wouldn’t of thought of a bump switch. My guess would be it works
in the same fashion as that switch does.

Oh ya… you can come on up and take as much snow as you need… we got FAR
to much this year and I’m more than willing to share!!

sms373 says:

Mine has made that clacking noise when going out if 4 low new.

accessories on….and why my cruise light comes on but no cruise
control?….Truck is a 2008 GMC Sierra

Jason Drew says:

Brian, next time use a step drill on the plastic, works far better than a
metal bit.

NICK SMITH says:

Anybody else notice the oil pressure is pegged at max

CanBoChoChet says:

Not as bad as the Switchgate but…

Jose Lopez says:

Awesome videos! A shop would of just replaced the dash. I love when people
actually fix things instead of replacing them

Omar Chisolm says:

fivefortyeye540i says:

Lol thanks for the review on the autel maxius 708. Now I know to stay away
from it

team0blackmanner says:

how are the ujoints bad. my 99 has 170000 miles, and has barely any slop in
the entire driveline. i dont understand how people have so many issues with
these trucks. I guess scheduled maintenance goes a long way.

ekimw69 says:

the button is for a light in the 3rd brake light

codymon100 says:

Brian mine broke but still had some hanging out of the passage that wire
went into the handle with.. so I had to “butt” connect it back up with a
bit of solder and “magic black tape”.. Got it back.. Man this truck needs
to be show some love!

Paul Morales says:

Sweet man brain you can fix anything

Darrell Waters says:

Another great video w/loads of info. Thanks again Brian :)

Veikra says:

Not bright enough, you have to resolder the 7 resistors on the other side
of the board. Both odometer display and PRND321 will be the same brightess
when you’re done.

sub96vortec says:

Very informative.

feedinc says:

Nevermind. I was impatient.

Jimmy Choi says:

hashdfw says:

Rubbing alcohol and an old toothbrush works great for cleaning the flux off
solder joints.

Upallnight says:
