Come along with Eric O. here at the SMA Shop as we swap out this re-man transmission that only lasted 1 day after we installed it! This is a 2005 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3 and it is two wheel drive.
We do run into a little snag though in the end… -Enjoy!

Holy thunder, Eric is wearing gloves!!!!!
So wish I had a lift. I've removed the trans in my suburban 3 times while on custom blocks in my driveway. The fun part is when you go to install the bolts for the torque converter and when you get to the 3rd bolt, the threads are missing from the nut welded to the torque converter. Trying to run a tap through it while laying on your back is not easy.
We sure Miss Hanna, will she ever make a guest appearance?
Great video. I need to replace My transmission in My 2006 Chevy
if you were like half the mechanics most stuff would be left off
i thought you just did this job, looks like trouble
that how they get u on tools two of every thing, we have a trip to harbor fr
same problem i have with lights
Before watching this video my thoughts are why Precision Transmission in Texas does not offer carryout transmissions. The installation is that important. Seeing that SMA did this I trust that the failure was internal but not guaranteed.
I was a R&R Transmission guy I loved it
