2014+ CHEVY & GMC 1500 LEVELING KIT INSTALL | Sierra & Silverado Lift Kit

2014+ CHEVY & GMC 1500 LEVELING KIT INSTALL | Sierra & Silverado Lift Kit

This is a quick video showing the installation of an adjustable leveling kit for the 2014+ Chevy and GMC 1500 Sierra and Silverado trucks. The truck in the video is a brand new 2016 GMC Sierra Denali with the magnetic ride control, 4×4 and the 6.2L V8.

The leveling kit that we are using is from Suspension Maxx. The part number is SMX-GM725M. This kit uses a set of spacers and is adjustable. There is one metal spacer that goes under the the coil-over shock. The other set of spacers are plastic and are placed in between the top of the coil over and the frame. The lift kit is adjustable from 1.5″ to 2.5″.

Trucks with the magnetic ride control require a couple of other parts. There is a sensor at each corner that measures the position of the suspension as well as the direction, speed and force the suspension is moving. This requires the use of a bracket that repositions the location of the the mounting arm back to a factory location. This is required for all suspension modifications for trucks with magnetic ride control.

This kit and process should work for the 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 full size Chevy and GMC trucks including the Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Sierra and Yukon. It will likely also work for the Cadillac Escalade. Check with the manufacturer for exact fitment.

Did you have the front end aligned?

There is another kit from Rough Country that doesn't show the ride height sensor bracket to be included. Is it possible to mount the sensor without the bracket?
