I own a 2000 Suburban, and so I looked up my vehicle on Alldata, and
reviewed the TSB and procedure details. They describe doing what you did,
as a free recall service. I don’t remember bringing it in for the recall
but I might have done so years ago. Funny how they say not to use a
screwdriver to pry the sensor out, yet they don’t offer advice about how to
do it any other way.

Thanks for these two video posts. I had the same symptoms and because of
your post I was able to fix the problem for no $, just my time.
Coincidentally, I had the same scenario with one newer sensor on one side
and an older on the other side. It was cleaning the older one with its
shims that did the trick.

i’ve actually almost wrecked a couple of my customers cars BECAUSE of ABS
in snow… whenever I buy a car and the ABS still works, i’ll pull the ABS
fuse and never think about it again (sometimes i’ll even remove the
annoying ABS light from the instrument cluster)

This was instrumental in helping me fix my 2005 Silverado! Thank you for
posting!
