What brand was the new part??

John Smith says:

Hey man. Great video! Very helpful and informative. I was wondering, could you not just have replaced the pressure regulator instead of upgrading the entire injector assembly? I’m having this exact issue with my 1998 Chevy C1500 and if the pressure regulator is the culprit then I want to know if I can just replace it instead of replacing the spider injector assembly. Thanks for your help.

frank hager says:

great video, well narrated, but just because the regulator was leaking did u have to replace the whole spider injection unit? or did you just want to upgrade it, were you able to just get a new regulator or no?

Thank you

very nice will!

robinsonsauto says:

Your welcome, yea helps the viewers see the effects and why before and after, confirms the repair corrected the condition, its one of the most important steps in troubleshooting, i stress that point often, thanks for the complement

Not sure with the oem reman, however this new replacement is a Delphi Engine Management, corect the 4.3 and 5.7 are simular in many ways thanks for bringing that up,i have heard of a few plenums cracking during installation, never had one myself however im sure they have failed more than once, your welcome anytime, thank you for the feed back

robinsonsauto says:

Thank you, im almost done editing will be up soon, your welcome

robinsonsauto says:

Thank you, the more i use it the more i like it, especially the enhanced data expansions, the generic limits you, therefore i purchased all they had to offer as a package, came with all the cables and what not, your welcome anytime

spelunkerd says:

Love that straightforward approach. I’ve been using autoenginuity, too. Seems a little finicky as far as making the OBD connection, but it is nice to have a live data feed. Thanks for posting!

robinsonsauto says:

Thank you for the compliments, yea the 4.3 and 5.7 are similar in many ways, thanks for bringing that up you have a good point, the oil needs to be changed after the repair is complete, will be surprised how much gas will be in the oil thinning it out, not to mention the other effects to much fuel can have on an engine, thanks for the feed back

robinsonsauto says:

Thank you, it can be challenging at times, mostly from lack of time then i start feeling the pressure and just want to finish the job, therefore most of my videos are done when time allows, hence the lack of videos at times, I would love to do the video sharing full time, but that don’t pay the bills, i feel for the most part the viewers understand and appreciate it, I try to stay patient and not to stress things, my wife hates it when she gets all worked up and im just like o well lol

robinsonsauto says:

Your welcome

Great job will.. I have had 10 or more of these in the 6 and 8 Cyl engine both . Sure does clean out the manifold and the block when one of these starts gushing fuel .. However running one this way can damage the engine ! Great fix , Looking out for the second half, Thanks!!

Fantastic cant wait till part 2. Thanks !!

brent underwood says:

my fuel pump is very loud its so loud i can hear it 5ft away and it cranks right up everytime

epiphaknee says:

Who makes the re-manufactured spider assembly? Great video for anyone with the 5.7 or 4.3 because this is a problem you will eventually have… Do the plastic intakes tend to crack over time? Thanks for including the fuel trim data and explanations. You and Duane are the only ones who constantly explain that to us…

epiphaknee says:

Check your fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Fuel pump making a new noise. Gas mileage down, longer crank times to start? If you cycle the key a few times before starting does the stall condition go away?

revitup1965 says:

Great job and diagnosis! Good videoing as well! Thanks for the entertainment along with the learning factor.
