In 2028 EVs are about done. Waste of money and time.
it’s not gonna go well for byd to compete with Mercedes, bmw, and LR. All 3 of those companies have a reputation in the consumers’ minds, LR is for off-roading, Mercedes is known for quality, and bmw is known for sporty.
No matter who makes them there needs to be good infrastructure to charge EVs. And if car makers could only get away from adding so much extra crap (such as "self driving") they might actually end up being affordable and perhaps competitive with gasoline cars. Where's the EV for someone who simply wants an electric car they can drive like a normal car?
EV's are not going to happen on a massive scale. Something better needs to be developed. Research and development departments are working on hydrogen technology among others. The power grid can't handle the demand from household air conditioners in the summertime. You put EVs into the picture you will have power failures everywhere from overloading the system. Then there is the mining of the hard to find elements that are needed to make the batteries. EVs are nothing more than a political scam.
