Well the thing i tell people about rushing me is, “do you want a good clean proper repair? or do you want me to cut cornors and you have issues in 2 years?” its a nice way of saying fuck off and let me do my job. prime example is 6.0 powerstroke they wonder why i pull the cab like your sapose to, simply because the job is easyer and everything is easyer to clean and check for warpage ect:P

I hear ya, hence the lack of videos at times, not to mention i cant charge for the extra time,if the job calls for 2hrs and it takes 3hrs its on me even though i try and convince myself the piece of mind is worth it, in all reality its costing me, most of my clients have been around the block a few times, so if they get snippy i just remind them, i don’t rush if that’s what they want they came to the wrong guy lol believe me i feel the pressure often,

great ideas thanks for the suggestions,

robinsonsauto says:

Thank you, will do

robinsonsauto says:

Will see what i can do, it has some bi-directional controls depending on make and model, some are limited, however that’s the case with most scan tools, your welcome anytime

Dohn Joe says:

I try to be as methodical as you are, but clients keep rushing me.
I think that happens to you too. What do you tell them? ‘Quickly’ and ‘well’ don’t match?

Off-topic: if your time allows it, try shooting a new video on diagnosing live an older car with an engine problem, from trying to duplicate the issue to final test. Those videos are priceless.

The maybe a shop tour? Your most exotic diagnostic tools for start.A stethoscope, the smoke machine, live mini-camera for suspension noises, etc.
