I have 1998 Nissan Altima with a rough idle- I checked all the spark plugs
and wires, and there is some rust in the #2 well. Which I can’t figure out
why it would get in there- Someone told me it could be from power washing
the engine- I have owned the car 5 years and have never done. I can’t
figure out if this is the problem or a symptom of a bigger one.

jason knudslien says:

no it cant

edyman87 says:

My spark plug wires were bad and it was letting the moisture to get in the
coil so now the coil is rusted. I bought new spark plug wires and I managed
to replace the 3 on the front of the engine. But I cant get at the back of
the engine to replace the other 3. If you have time can you please
demonstrate on the video how to get access to the spark plugs which are
located at the back of the engine? My engine is 3.1 v6. Same engine shown
in the video. 1995 grand am se coupe.

greatautohelp says:

Yes it is, when taken care of.

Need help!!

greatautohelp says:

On that engine you probably have a bad ignition coil, or the whole coil
hosuing cover is bad.

Austin Banister says:

my 1999 cavalier 2.2l hard starts, but after the engine is warm it starts
right up, sometimes it sputters like its barely firing. fuel system is
good, is it a coil?

bmacAK47 says:

one of the posts on my coil is rusty, the others are fine. I have a 3800
series II GM V6 in a Buick Lesabre. My car shutters under acceleration. How
do I know the coil is bad? Should I replace it? THANKS!!

Joe Mamma says:

My 2001 Grand Am with the 3400 SFI will crank all day long, but won’t
start. Wants to, but not quite. Fuel pump is coming on, you can hear it,
and pull the relay, the sound goes away, fuel regulator is good, not sure
about pressure. Will run a spark tester tomorrow, but suspect the ICM is
the cause of a too weak spark to ignite the fuel and get things going…

Jerod Toma says:

The car is actually running on only two cylinders. And yeah that’s what
they thought too, they replaced the parts and still the problem persists.
They put in new spark plugs again, tried putting in a new ignition module,
tried checking the computer boards and still no hope. There now down to it
either being a sensor or the fuel injector system. The car only has 50,000
miles and the mechanic said the engine is very clean.

Jerod Toma says:

My 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme has a 2.3L LD2 Quad 4 in it and that has
been misfiring like crazy, any suggestions for that type of engine? Its had
the spark plugs replaced so it can’t be that

greatautohelp says:

@bmacAK47 Yes, that is the cause of your problem. Replace it and the plug
wire.

greatautohelp says:

@egamer62 Happy to help with your car repair problem !

jimmy101112000 says:

@kingcollazo0307 p0140 is no activity detected on Oxygen sensor. P0141 is
Heater for Oxygen sensor is not working. Bad oxygen sensor with both codes
showing or its disconnected. Its on Bank 1 which is where cylinder number 1
exhaust manifold is at its the Oxygen sensor before Converter. P0304 is
cylinder number 4 misfire. Bad spark plug or wire. If you had P0301 too the
ignition module or coil is bad which is what 1 and 4 fire at the same time.

egamer62 says:

hey, i also have a 3.1 v6 in my 96 beretta, its kind of a pain to get to
the, its easiest way to get to them is to take your alternator off, and all
so if you have cruise control, the little box for the cruise control, this
way you can get you arm down to the plugs, expect to spend 2-4 hours on the
back 3.

justinchaffin1013 says:

hey i have a question i sold my old truck and me and the guy are good
friends but he try to turn the truck over it turns but wont fire is the a

mike bassam says:

look guys and girls i have found the main reason for the car that would not
start, its the moister thats on the wires and on the coil, so how to get
rid of that? its simple you just have to cover it with a blanket or towel
in winter or on rainy days, problem solved. i hope as many people as
possible will read my comment, thanks, btw u have to remove it every time u
want to drive ur car,
