Put a new crankshaft position sensor in it next also clean your mass airflow sensor, after that check the wires at your cam shaft sensor, if oil gets on them they will ark. I am going thru the same on my 97 supercharged park ave. Did you figure yours out yet? Take care.

I have a 2000 Buick Regal gs and for some reason after I’ve put the accel performance wires and coal packs on my car it started giving me a real powerful jerk I found out the coals weren’t firing so I took them off and ended up doing the zzp set up and still having the same problem I’ve changed the icm and the crank shaft position sensor still having that problem it only happens majority of the time when I try to get boost and won’t give me full boost gets to about 7.5 any suggestions?

My 99 gtp has the washer res inside the passenger front fender(shitty) and the coolant overflow right behind my supercharger pulley.. long story short a truck fell down on the hood a long time ago they replaced the hood but nothing else. It bent the engine mounts so now the supercharger pulley is digging into my coolant overflow… coolant stays in there and everything but I cant imagine its efficent on my boost… have you heard of anyone relocating these two? If so I would love any tips. Sorry about the long comment bud

Another good vid Sam. Gotta question for you. I have a Chilton and Haynes manual for my GTP and the ignition wires to the coils setup for VIN1 in the Chilton is (5/2)(3/4 )(1/6) from top to bottom. You can Google the image using 79223G24, it's from the Chilton library. If you follow the lines from cylinders 6 and 4 they are miss matched but it works. What's up with that? I use the (6/3)(5/2)(4/1) like it's commonly used.

Just went through the same thing yesterday. I found out it was the MSD COILS that are 8 months old. Put my stock ones back on and car has power again. Coils work fine except for 4800 and above only in drive winding out to shift to overdrive. Arnd 80 to 100 mph car was loseing all power and didn't want to shift. Used MSD stuff and still do, coil, distributor, cd boxes and that's what I have on my other car but will never buy them for this car again. 60 bucks a piece and not even a year out of them. I bet it's the coils

I recommend some thermal paste between the control module to the heatsink. Doesn't matter the brand or anything. Without it you have a higher chance it'll over heat a fry itself in the nearish future.

Simple job that most shops as I've found out earlier owning 3800 powered vehicles, act like its earth shatteringly hard. As I mentioned in comments I live in NY and they don't know how to "Fix" cars. The so called techs rely on looking at what year to our car is and if they see it's over 5 yrs old tell you to junk it and buy something that will be a brand new money pit. Great info.
