In this video we show how to remove the transmission pan and change the shift solenoids and torque converter clutch (TCC) solenoid in Pete’s 2004 Silverado 1500 LS 4×4 with the 4L60E transmission. This process should work for other Chevy transmissions as well and most automatic transmissions.

I can't get my 1-2 and 3-4 solenoids to push in far enough to put the clips back in even when I push as hard as I possibly can
Don't forget to take the tin plate off thats attached to the valve body, and clean the gunk out of the 5 copper plates, 5 studs, 2x8mm and 3x10mm…
What you used for gasket
Bro my avalanche is fucked right now pouring trans fluid everywhere and dry AF still. Added almost a gallon and now it's in the ground sos I need help. It still drives still goes into all gears. But was shifting bad so I got it towed home. Was told the problem now I have all the trans fluid on the ground
Is this the same for the 6l80 tranny??
That’s after draining?!?
Is the TCC solenoid and the 3-2 solenoid the same solenoid the same? I understand the back two are the same part number but I'm not really having luck finding just a tcc solenoid.
How do u get them out if Thy stuck?
why they dont put drain plugs in pans.thats right the fluid is lifetime fluid
that watch tells me you dont do this much like once
The torque clutch solenoid? You mean the TCC solenoid or the PWM solenoid?
I get a p0894 code will this fix my problem … Tahoe 06 doesn’t shift to third gear
Would this be the same for a 1998 k2500 5.7 e50 gas with the 4l60e
Thanks. If I have something to lift up. I'll do it myself. Can you tell me how much to replace them?
Good job. But the oil pan doesn't have a drain port, it is a stupid design
How true is that once you take the trans. Oil out later the transmition will give you problems a reason they told me dirty oil still in the system and will ruin the transmition
idk what I'm doing, but how come we don't drain the fluid?
Great video. I just went under my 94 chevy thinking I would see a 4l60e but it's actually a 4l60 shallow Pan. Have you ever owned one with this type of transmission. I have a hard shift from park to drive and park to reverse. I'm thinking it has an upgraded towing package. It's a k1500. Also, all other gears shift flawlessly. Me personally, I don't like the hard shifts. Have you ever put in the sonnax upgrade 1-2 actuator piston with softer springs. I think I have heavier springs in there? Any info would be great. Going to be opening up the pan maybe next week.
2006 Crew Cab I did not have to remove any exhaust bolts only the shifter cable.
If you pull the two bolts out of transmission mount and Jack the tail end of the transmission up about 2 in you can get the pan out without messing with the exhaust
I only had to remove the shift cable the pan slid right out, halleluha for the 90s
Why it's impossible to repair Toyota cvt valve bodies
