If the new switch is hard to turn and not is not changing the settings over, then you will have to probably replace the switch again.
The replacement between the two vehicles are going to be similar.
6 months ago i installed a new cruise switch. lately turning the wpers on and off has been difficult to twist, and today the wipers are stuck on and although i can twist the switch arm, they stay on.
is it possible the new switch is faulty, (i notice the switch metal arm plugs into the steering column), or do you think my porblem would actually be the wiper switch mechanism inside the steering column ? (which really looks like a pain to get at. )

Might be that, or you may want to check the fuse and the wiring to see if the bulbs have power to them.
Brake lights don’t work but the cargo brake light does could it be the stalk or what

I have a 2001 z28 and my brights don’t work because of the stalk beeing loose? what do I do?
I would replace ALL of the fluid in the transmission and put a new filter in it.
The transmission fluid in it is black and burnt looking but it is running really good still, am i gona need to get the transmission fixed or just replace the transmission fluid?
If you have a test light, test the wire going to the sockets to see if there’s power to the sockets when you step on the brake.

You may want to check the brake light switch to see if it’s working correctly. If it’s bad it may also correct the turn signal issue.
My 1990 chevy turn signal or brake light dont work. But hazard lights work and all light work and Fuses is good. Whats the problem?

I have a 92 Cadillac Deville, on the exterior, it looks simular to this, will this stalk work on a Cadillac? It has cruise, wipers, turn signal functions on it. It does say Buick though on here. I know there is some commonality with most GM divisions.

This helped more than the others. I have a 92 chevy k 1500. The other videos were on newer trucks. Need to replace switch due to wiper issues. Happened to fix motor by replacing before knowing about the switch as a possibility. Thank You!
I would test the socket that the light plugs into to see it it’s a bulb issue or possibly a bad socket. If the socket isn’t blinking, also test the wire going to it to see if there’s power in the wire. if there is and there’s no power in the socket, you may have a bad socket. Also check all of the bulbs front and rear to see if any are burnt out.
There would be an issue with the switch, or if the headlight bulbs were replaced you may want to make sure that the correct ones were installed, as that could also create this type of situation. Hope this helps you out.
i did i replaced the whole part of the blenkers and the hazzerd switch and they still dont work and the fuses work i checked them

That application looks as though it uses a different style of switch. The basics might be similar.
You may want to test the turn signal by putting it on and then testing the socket to see if it has power going to it. I would also check the fuses to see if you have a blown fuse.

That function is part of the switch also, and could wear out.
