Arlis Nutter says:

i thought the big 3 (Big 4) was the negative to frame, negative to block,
negative to alternator, positive to alternator.

chachee15 says:

it looks like you connected the fuse block to the battery twice. is that
right? You said to go from the alternator positive to the fuse and then the
fuse to the positive battery. It looks like you connected both ends of the
fuse to the battery. Am I missing something or is that how its supposed to
be done?

Omar Saldana says:

what if you have a generator instead of an alternator

Matthew Murray says:

Hey EXO. I’m doing the big 3 upgrade on my Acura Integra and was wondering
where did you get your wire and fuse? I’ve looked on Sonic Electronix,
Amazon, and Car Toys, but I don’t know where to get quality for my buck
ya’know.

Juan Contreras says:

Can i do the big 3 upgrade on a 2002 buick lesabre it have the battery on
the back sits

ihavehotmail2 says:

was the fuse necessary?

4804tk says:

How would you do the big three on a diesel? same thing for both batteries?

Vav Halili says:

is it ok to put 300amp fuse to that stock alt?

Shai Lee says:

What did you get your terminal adapter from? I have the same battery and
can’t find side post adapters

FxScalper says:

Overkill for stock alternator. High Output alternator with custom stater,
then this would be appropriate. 300 Amp fuse WoW! That is no 200 Amp
alternator-lol….you be lucky if you pull 70 amps at idle. All you audio
kids learn how cars work first–lol Also make sure you connect positive
cable to to alt FIRST, or you could accidentally blow your diodes.

Ike Norris Jr. says:

For a rear battery, do I have to run extra long power AND ground wires from
the battery or can I just ground the battery to chassis & then chassis to
engine/alt?

Gino Partosetiko says:

dude, you could’ve shown us first what the voltage was before you did the
big 3upgrade and after. just to make sure its worth spending money to do
that.

d46313 says:

Great video. Gonna be doing a bigger install pretty soon and this helps out
allot.

6ckbass says:

Awesome video!!

Brian Gantick says:

Do you need to get rid of the stock positive alternator cable or do you
just add to it like the grounds? Thank you!

Steven Baglione says:

Thank you EXO I kept hearing about this”big three” but never knew what it
really was. I’m new to audio

Robert Paul says:

Exo where you from It always looks cold Lol

Zombie Apocalypse says:

nice job man. looks good

Scott Mcdaniel says:

I’m running my factory speakers as my mids/highs off an alpine head unit at
roughly 50×4 rms, then a 12′ sub off of a separate amp at roughly 600×1
(class D)…would this upgrade really be necessary or would it just be
overkill?

Jamal S says:

What should you do if your alternator is engine grounded?

Jesse Erickson says:

“sorry im shaking so bad but this meth is just so so so so good.

Israel Cuevas says:

Best big 3 upgrade video I have seen man good job!!

kinzer69 says:

Never seen a neg bat to neg alt ground, I always ran neg alt to
engine/frame ground

mgbarela says:

is it a good idea to do that fuse line?? and what if you don’t have a fuse
in there?? thanks

M Eecheverria says:

stupid question but i need to know. have you ever had the power cable melt?

therfclick says:

I give you props thumbs up

pedro santillana says:

tengo ina pregunta tengo una nisan pickup 87 si ago esto no afectara el
paso de mas corriente a mi sistema de cableado osea nunca excede de 14.00
volts

TToums says:

its amazing how much that big 3 upgrade actually helps the system. proper
grounding for amps and batterys are too the thing to keep in mind with
building a system. great video again EXO!

Jayy Rdz says:

What brand of that 0 gauge.

John Mahaney says:

Would this be beneficial for a small 5 channel and one 12″ sub? How about a
resetable fuse instead of a replaceable?

Steven V says:

flush the coolant system and get rid of the dex cool, that will just kill
your engine at higher mileage, it gunks up bad and eats your head gaskets

lostsheppard87 says:

Hey just subed. I have a 05 impala, And I was wondering what length did you
use for your impala. Trying to order the wire asap. I was thinking 5ft
power 5 ft ground..What ya think?

Eric Montgomery says:

Someone ANYONE please HELP me i have a 04 CHEVY impala coppied EXo`s BIG 3
video but it made my voltage drop i a have a stock alternator (105 amps)
everlast gold battery 800 cold cranking amps 1100 cranking amps with 110
reserve amps i used “KNUKONCEPTZ” 1/0 gauge with a ANL 300 amp inline fuse
sanded my grounds to bare metal ran that line to my 1.2 farred powerbass
capacitor then from there it splits off to 4 gauge to my hifonics brutus
2000.1 D i have the two grounds mounted to my suspension which leads to my
frame. before the BIG 3 i couldnt really turn the amp up i had serious
voltage drop from 14.57v to 10.9/8v at times NOW it idles at 13.4v and
drops in the low 11 so overall its not dropping as low but this amp
requires 14.4v and in result i still cant turn the amp up someone help me
please ill take any suggestions this amp has been hell i cant afford to
just let 500 dollars go to waste i appreciate all the help i can get

Jonathan Martinez says:

After you did the big 3 do you just run a power wire to the back to power
the amp

zac holman says:

Hey man in need of some help , my voltage is dropping at my amp can’t
figure the issue. Just finished big three wire upgrade voltage at the batt
is 13.8 when the bass drops but 11.7 at the amp. I’ve got an xs xp950 ,
stock alt. 4 guage throughout including the big three. Massive n4 and a
single PG ti2 15 . Wired at 2 ohms. Any help would be awesome thanks bud.

elice05 says:

Be careful bcuz I wouldn’t b surprised if that cheap ass fuse holder melts
after a couple of months. That’s what happened to mine till I switched to a
better quality one. Clean install doe!

BIG Buck says:

Ur girl friend better not dump u

420dportkid says:

I always thought the big 3 was high output alternator, deep cycle battery,
and the the wires.

exo571 says:

profesional video

Wut Sappenin Witchu says:

EXO, U ARE DEFINITELY ON POINT WITH EVERYTHING U DO. LOVE UR WORK. Wish I
could work with or for U. ALONG WITH STEAVE MEADE OF COURSE. But, my
question to U is can I use the current 4 gauge from my wiring kit as an
electrical upgrade wire from my battery to the alternator? Currently in the
midst of replacing everything within my car audio category. I have MASSIVE
voltage drops even off a Yellow Top Battery.

wild out live free says:

Where do you get your wires from

Brodie Henderson says:

“i wanna share a secrete with ya, to get this big little chunk of wire
into this little hole” a big little chunk of wire eh? haha

Michael Giangeruso says:

Great video. This seems to be a good way to do this, but I havent seen
anyone else run the fuse block as part of the big 3 upgrade. If you run a
300A fuse in this manner would you still have to fuse the power wire to the
amp(s)?

chris mendez says:

what was the voltage before the big 3 upgrade>?

DIY Car LED Lights Mods Tuning Channel - VW Golf says:

Nice vid

Jesse Mendez says:

Nice video, but that ANL fuse holder looks like a fire hazard.

Victor Santillan says:

EXO!!!! I got a huge question. How did you do the big 3 upgrade on you
Expedition? I cant find any videos on that. Im hooing you could help.

chicagoDemon1 says:
