Well the brake controller would work – but the wiring instructions will differ.

Yes, you want to make sure have the wires matching the pin out in the link which is in the video description. You need to flip flop some wires if your harness is for an 03 and up
yes something is wrong connected it. It seems like there is power, but pushed manual and inside dash lights lit up with ignition on. With motor off push manual and the alarm was going off like I left the lights on or the the key in the ignition. thanks for the response, so i should change the blue and red wires on the controller plug?

Correct – there is a fuse in the same area under the hood as this 03 – but its just a differnet style.. Its a blade style. If your harness is not specifically fot an 02 style. yes there will need to be wires changed on your plug. Electronics changed in 03 so the Pin – out is different on the 02.
I have 02 chevy 2500 hd. I went to dealer and was going to buy their brand. I bought a curts brand with harness and controller that matched ends. My dealer said something about the blue and white wires might need reversed. Was told under the hood there was a wire under that box that needed hooked up to have power you said just add fuse. Will mine still work as you described or is there wires that need changed on connectors that you know off in 02 models.
This was just what I needed! Looks super easy. I am going to try it tomorrow.
