did it in an 04 GP GT2 no big changes

jakecooperification says:

the smaller hole is the make the air enter the engine faster due to a build
up of air pressure 🙂

John fromSpace says:

Put more tags in man 3800 Series 2 is important in there. I would like to
add that Grand Prixs and Regals stock air boxes also have multiple pieces.
Not the same as PA’s and Bonnevilles but plenty of crap to pull off!

Is that safe

jay eltatertoto says:

@JohnFromSpace so, i just looked at the car and after burning 5.6 gallons
its at 20.1 mpg and the 40 or so miles were about 50-55 mph me being my
smart self made sure to go as far as taking a picture of the gas pump, but
i forgot to check the odometer lol. so assuming this dic is corredt i am
getting better mpg. that could be because of the spark plugs too, but the
sparkplugs were only $15

Good video and nice car always been a fan of park aves

Chris Osborne says:

Holy crap. If I floored my car like that, it would roast the tires clean
off it. I had a 1998 Park Ave Ultra. you couldn’t stop it from spinning. I
live in a colder climate, but still, I would have had at least 4 seconds of
tirespin there.

John fromSpace says:

Well done bud! Thumbs up and favorited!

You know why the baffles are there? It’s for NVH issues. Old people don’t
want to hear the induction or exhaust noises. My Century is so quiet there
was times it didn’t start and I couldn’t tell till I went into drive(hate
having no tach).

anticannoneer says:

the computer is near/in the airbox/air intake to keep it cool. If it
weren’t there, it would overheat. Computers get hot?

Kirk Daillest says:

the plastic air filter box is heavy and thick to keep heat out and the air
cool.

iSabugasSec says:

i see no air 🙂

jay eltatertoto says:

@JohnFromSpace will do, and yeah my mom drives a century, its got the same
airbox as the regal. right now its a storage unit till she buys brakes but
im considering tearing apart the airbox because i can haha. btw, thanks for
the sub!

jay eltatertoto says:

@eltatertoto over all im not sure it really improved all that much, but the
sound and throttle response is worth it in my opinion. before if i was in
3rd or overdrive it would have to downshift before i got any power. now,
its honestly got enough throttle response in alot of places it would
normally downshift it doesn’t need to. not to mention the open airfilter
just sounds like i dropped an 8 cyl in there lol

John fromSpace says:

@eltatertoto Awesome man! Glad you’re enjoying it!

Kris Demers says:

I’ll be doing this with my ’98 PA! 🙂 Thanks for the video!

AguilarMane says:

Did this today nd response improved nd better gear changes dan
before..improved alot

jay eltatertoto says:

@JohnFromSpace not really lol. i also changed the sparkplugs 20 miles
before this fill up, and when i did i reset the average fuel economy thing,
and this morning id only burned 3 gallons in this tank. so one time getting
on it made the avg jump a bit. however, today i had to go about 20 or so
miles from home and back on roads where i can go relatively quick (50-60)
not highway but quick. not really sure what it will read when i check it in
the morning (didnt think to look) but ill post it

John fromSpace says:

Hey man did you get to test out your Fuel economy yet?
