You're right, I checked the old vent solenoid and it clicks fine.  Checked and no power from the wiring.  There is a fuse for it in fuse box and good fuse.  So now what?

thanks for the video.
one question about this. My truck doesn't have the code yet. but it has difficulty to fill sometimes. I'm assuming the valve works but the vent tube might be clogged. am I correct?
thank you.

Hello, if we remove the vent soleniod, bypass the vent soleniod with the hose direct will our Chevy Run?

Matt Schecklman says:

I have a 2007 suburban. dealer replaced the vent silinoid before I purchased it. check engine light came on 3 weeks after purchase and they said it was the gas cap. 2 weeks later back on again. with p0449. I cleared it and it was good for 2 weeks or so. took it back to the dealer and they said everything is working properly and cleared the code. 2 weeks later the code is back. Any thoughts?
