(I’m no plumber, and the tools I can use are limited). Never realized I
could take the tank OFF. Thanks again!

Thanks for the video, but dude your SFX are ear piercing.

Todd White says:

I like it when you lay out all the tools you need to do the job including
the teflon tape and tell your listeners as you go what order to install
your parts including any adjustments that might be needed during the job.
Also would be nice to know what happens if??? Somehow things don’t always
go as planned. It would also be nice to hear if different mfg of parts will
or won’t fit on certain toilet brands, or are all parts universal?

TJ Conwell says:

OK, that was the most educational … and at the same time hilarious …
video I have ever seen. Thanks man, appreciate you sharing this.

Great video joe! My toilet has been broke for three months and in less than
four minutes you helped me fix it with no cost to me. Thanks Joe!

Hazel White says:

My plumber wanted 200 dollars to install a new kit for the tank. Excuse me?
I may be a 71 years old female with failing comprehension, but I know I can
find instructions on YouTube and do it myself. This is an excellent video.
I have replaced the toilet parts before, but that was before YouTube and I
had to figure it out by myself. This is going to make the job easy. Thanks,
ToolDudeTony.

Natalie T says:

Thank you so much. I just messed up my friend’s toilet. And I’m on my

Try setting the water level higher. I think it needs more water to complete

Thank you! Removing the tank to replace the insides is a FANTASTIC idea. It
makes the job so much easier! Much better to replace it myself, than having
someone show up with alcohol breath to fix it. Thanks again Tony!!!

Jonathan Lau says:

what if my flush is at the top?

Natalie T says:

Thank you so much, you just saved me. I just messed up my bestf friend’s
toilet and I’m on my period and the toilet wasn’t flushing because the
chain wasn’t attached. And this great fucking video saved me, thank you so
much. I was about to cry and fly out of the country. How embarrassing,
thank you.

mnpaloma says:

Thanks ToolDude, I have delaying this project for a while now. With the
help of your video, I have built the confidence to deal with this SH#T. You
know what the say, “SH#T… or get off the Pot!” Thanks.

MrWill1985 says:

I had a leaky toilet myself. And the amount of work was more then I
anticipated. I knew it would take time to replace the flush valve. I
replaced that. Then noticed the washers that are on the bolts that bolt the
tank to the toilet wore. So I replaced them. It stopped leaking from the
bolts. Then I flush the toilet and all of a sudden it leaks from under the
tank each time I flush. So now I know I need a new Shank washer. And I sure
hope that is the last part I need to replace.

dshedder1 says:

yes go buy a new one at Lowes or Home Depot.
