Thank you for this.

1997 Silverado 1500. Delay wiper feature went south. They still work on
high setting but the detente that returns them to the down position no
longer works. This is a pulse board and not a loose wire issue right?

7.5 amp fuse… never blew since I installed it… it is a very common
problem so your symptoms could have the same root cause as my problem.

I live in Iowa, and my truck has never seen a garage… I think I love you.
I have a ’97 GMC K1500 Sierra with this issue… It is now solved.
Thank-you….but I’m going back to Chryslers after this truck.

Steve Rob says:

Well done. As a general rule the amperage load of a circut is 1/2 the rated
fuse . There is a load spike on dc motors that may be too fast for your DDM
to catch. If the wiper motor was fused for say 25 amps you would see a max
load about 12-13 amps. If you replace a factory fuse with another make sure
the fuse rating is embossed in white,if not its not a certified fuse and
good luck. Lots of those out there at a pack of 144 fuses for $10. Great
tip and look forward to another gread vid

Thanks for the videos. Did this fix your problem and do you have a update
on the fuse size etc.. I have a 2005 silverado with similar issues in the
past now they stopped completely, I wonder if this is my problem too. are
the modules the same?
