thanks for the comment. when I made the video I didn’t know if this was my
problem or not. I eventually got it running perfect with this distributor
so even though it may be worn with a lot of play, it did not reduce
performance… if I was pulling the motor and doing a full rebuild I would
definately being looking at replacing the distributor with 200,000 kms+

i found a corroded connection to the ignition trigger module. Once I took
it apart and cleaned it and put the whole truck back together it ran better
than it had ever run… probably because I had replaced so many other parts
first (coil, plugs, wires, injector and spider hose). I am wondering if you
have a stuck open EGR valve (common prob for these) which is messing up
your vacuum and impacting how the tranny shifts. I can’t remember if vacuum
impacts these trannys or not.

Ya man the roder shod not have that much play in it so if I was you I wood

so what was the problem of it not starting ?i have an issue with mine where
at first it would sputter when i gave it gas and alittle backfire and now
it wont get out of 2nd gear any ideas?
