Last year I posted a video explaining how to replace and program TPMS sensors to a 9th Gen Impala. In that video, I didn’t get into enough detail regarding the actual replacement of the sensor. This video serves as an update, with present-day footage spliced in.
The instructions in this video should pertain to GM LAN11/LAN29 vehicles from 06-ish to 13-ish (including 14-16 Impala Limiteds, and possibly the GMT900’s and 1st Gen Traverses, Acadias, and Enclaves that went until 16 or 17.) I say as a guideline, if the vehicle had the “Black Tie” radio seen in the video, the items and procedures I used will work.
Now this content will be helpful whether or not you have 2 sets of wheels & tires. Generally speaking, whether you need to install TPMS sensors on a set of new wheels, or if you have malfunctioning sensors, the procedure is the same.
I highly recommend purchasing the programming tool, especially if you have 2 sets of wheels. The tool wakes up the sensor and properly programs it to your vehicle and in what position it is in. Also, having a valvestem puller makes changing out the valvestems a piece of cake.

Hello great video very informative. Question for you, can you explain why you think the new sensors are junk. Do they just not last long? What info should I look for when cross checking OEM vs Aftermarket sensors
Why change the stem? Why not just change the TPMS sensor?
