You might be surprised! There are many manufacturers that are going to introduce diesel vehicles in the United States. In Europe there are more diesels than gas or (Petrol). It will be very interesting to see how this develops.

DAHENDO23 says:

it worked, although it stayed on for about 45 miles it is now off. The port was clogged big time just as the video showed, thanks a million for posting the video.

markjhicks says:

If you have repaired the problem correctly, on most vehicles the light will go out after two complete trips. A trip is a start up from cold and a steady drive over 40 for at least 5 minutes.

DAHENDO23 says:

Will following these steps automatically shut the service engine light off? Or do you have to get a parts place to reset it with the code checker?

markjhicks says:

Gracias, vamos a seguir para hacer el vídeo! Sus amables palabras que significan mucho para nosotros!

can anyone tell me whats causing my emergancy flasher relay to keep clicking except when i apply the brake pedal it stops ?

Dee Brown says:

Cool beans. Let me know how it goes. Or any questions bout the car cause I’ve practically done everything on this Beretta. I’m even rebuilding the trans. Not too difficult. Just pieces u gotta replace

Libertytreetv .com says:

k ill look at it

Dee Brown says:

Oh! I remember that video. I used it too 2change that mount when I 1st got my car. As I said, there’s another one directly below it. There are 2 motor mounts & 1 transmission 2body mount (on the driver side. Bolts can be seen in the wheel well)

Dee Brown says:

@PatriotRadioMilitia there are 2motor mounts. one on the top (passenger side) & one down under the belt. its shaped like a dog bone.

Libertytreetv .com says:

watch?v=zsTjQm4-Dsk @ 6:20 this is the mount i replaced

Libertytreetv .com says:

you lost me , i replaced the upper mount block and its much better but i still hear a bit of grind ( from engine tork) i have not replace any other mount parts ( lowers)

Dee Brown says:

How old is the dog bone by the wheel?

Libertytreetv .com says:

my reta is runnin sweet , only thing seems to be a issue is the passenger side motor mount ,brand new but still get a bit of a growl/grind sound when i step on it .

Dee Brown says:

whew! ok then. I stay on top of my engine. Anything odd & I’m on it. Hope ur engine is @tip top now

Libertytreetv .com says:

within the next couple of days , if you havent seen it then you probably flushed more than i did , i did do the egr cleaning as well, was nasty , only one easy sencor if you ever have to do i t,

Dee Brown says:

I havent had any problems since putting in that seafoam. How long afterward did ur check engine light come on?

Libertytreetv .com says:

check engine light ran code said Oxy censor , a bad sensor will make it run shity , i took down my other cars top end apart and cleaned by hand , more therough and no gunk downstream .

Dee Brown says:

uh oh. I just put seafoam in last week. What was the symptom that ur censor was bad?

markjhicks says:

Thank you for the update!

Kevin Rogers says:

Use throttle body cleaner on the throttle body, carb cleaner can acccully remove a coating on the butterfly in the body and cause corrosion, ive seen it only once but it is possable and will cause idle issue’s, and set an IAC code.

markjhicks says:

Thank you for the great comment and letting everyone know it really does work.

Dee Brown says:

I had this same problem & have the same car. My Beretta went so far as to stall out. I just followed the steps 2this video & no more engine light. Problem solved

markjhicks says:

We used the opportunity to talk about the advantages of our EGR valves. We don’t really have customers, it cost the owner nothing. But, with almost 108,000 miles on the vehicle, if I were still working in my garage, I would have recommended replacing the valve. When a customer experiences the same code two weeks after you repaired the problem it appears to them you have done nothing.

josephnclifton says:

We verified that the existing EGR valve was functioning, why sell the customer an unnecessary part?

markjhicks says:

Thank you for the kind words I can’t think of a better compliment than yours! Mark Hicks Wells Vehicle Electronics

Dee Brown says:

I commented on this page bout a year ago. Since finding this video, I’ve help fix 3 other vehicles with this same problem. It’s so simple. Thanx again, Mr. Hicks. Very well done

markjhicks says:

The aluminum we are poking into is very think and we felt scratching it would not be an issue. This was the first video we produced. All of our videos are done from start to finish by techs. Learning how to produce videos is learning another profession. We have gotten better. Yes all EGRs with this pin out are wired the same. We did check the intake on this vehicle and it was not leaking.
Great questions and comments, please let me know if you have any more,
