This video is showing my 2010 Cadillac Escalade that was burning a lot of oil and had burning oil at startups. There is a new updated valve cover out for these engines that will help and it comes with a new PCV valve. This basically fits every GM SUV and truck, Tahoe, Silverado, Suburban, GMC, Chevy, Escalade, Cadillac, Express, Savana, etc from 2008 to 2020. Check to make sure it fits yours! After install my Escalade ESV has not consumed oil or burned any at startup! The install will take 10 minutes and needs basic tools.

So this probably what I need to do to my 08 gmc because it gets a lot of oil in the intake
The reason you see all that black burnt oil buildup on the inside of the valve cover is that you are not changing your oil often enough. The parts you cannot see will have increased wear like cam shaft, lifters, cylinders etc. If you are unwilling to change the oil more often, then use a full synthetic motor oil.
Is it only necessary to change the driver's side valve cover….or both? Thanks!
I’m getting oil fouling on my cylinder 1 spark plug which caused a misfire rough idle check engine light and stabilatrak light on replace spark plug and and lights went away but I’m sure they’ll come back and I’m going through oil like crazy but no smoke
Did it fixed your problem my Chevy Tahoe 2013 60k miles only and it started to lose oils I even do regular service no delay also there is no leak at all
Can that problem cause blackesh spark plugs??? . Im thinking on doing these repair on my 2012 Silverado started feel a little sluggish at hard taking off. Clean throttle body and maf sensor and still feel the same. I hope by changing spark plugs and valve cover will fix my problem
Your throttle response should be better.?.? From my understanding the old valve cover baffle design allowed oil to pool, making for a oil broiler, steamer condition. It would delute oil quality prematurely along with other issues.
What is the torque specs for the valve cover bolts?
