I’m glad his truck started but I wish it was something else!!! That’s not our problem and this is the best video I’ve seen yet because he sticks to the basic equipment that DIYer can afford…that’s why most DIYer don’t take them into the shop, they can’t afford 6-900 dollars of damage. Our car hasnt run for 3 weeks now, something to do with the security and we cannot find the problem!!! I was looking for new troubleshooting and some of this was new but not enough to help yet..But NICE

robinsonsauto says:

Thank you for the compliment, anytime

robinsonsauto says:

Thank you, Yes great guy has a more advance approach for sure i learn from his videos, first to admit i don’t know everything so when i cross them paths i study and dissect until i know it, therefore if i can project something in a way that makes sense to me than i feel many will relate, my approach; take the moments that made something make sense (that click moment “i got it now”) relate back to them moments while sharing knowledge, seems to work most times lol

Hendrik Hallo says:

Guys like you are great ! Thx for sharing

ScottysDetailing says:

You have a very simple way of teaching that is easy to relate to. Unlike Sanner Danner good guy but way confusing.

robinsonsauto says:

Thank you, i try been falling behind here lately i need to get some videos rolling, however; believe me you don’t want to be me lots of flows i just happen to be decent at what i do for a living or at least pretend to be, had a teacher once tell me if you don’t have the answer just flatter them with bullsh## lol never forgot that, thanks for stopping by i enjoy watching your videos you do great work

ScottysDetailing says:

Great diag?? Awesome teacher, which I could be just like you.

sprucesolider says:

Air intake ?

robinsonsauto says:

You may want to give that a try, shoot a little ether/starting fluid in the intake if it starts with the starting fluid you know spark and distributor is good and you have a fuel issue if it don’t start then you have an ignition issue or something deeper, just a quick cheep test

sprucesolider says:

didnt spray anything into the intake ?

sprucesolider says:

driving along all of a sudden staled out

robinsonsauto says:

Its possible had a few fail, however i would hate to have you through parts at it, how did the issue start? whats the symptoms? Fuel pressure on these is a common issue any thing much lower than specs around 60psi will not start, did you try spraying anything in the intake just to make sure? if so and no start than yea you have an ignition problem, pull distributor cap and inspect, had a few week coils cause similar issues, im grasping at straws just throwing things out there

sprucesolider says:

fuel pressure is fine spark is fine any chance it could be the distributor, gas came shooting out of the pressure cap when pressed as a friend turned the ignition over

robinsonsauto says:

assuming you have a no start condition? did you performed all the previous steps to that point? confirm you have spark, if so try shooting a little starting fluid into the throttle body just a little see if it tries to start if so then you have a no fuel issue, you say you hear the fuel pump, so if it tries to kick with starting fluid remove t fuel filter check to see if its restricted if so replace, if not hook up a fuel pressure gauge where the fuel filter hooks up let me know what you got

robinsonsauto says:

Thank you sir. i appreciate that

ROBERT Clark says:

THIS IS TO COOL I WILL SHARE, THANKS

Thank-you!

Nice video, I like to take the cover off the relay and watch it to see if I have any operation.

Jahan Zeb says:

Great video sir I just shot a video on no start on Camry 2000 and uploaded on my channel. I am using it as a video response here. Please approve it to share knowledge.
Regards,

I really enjoy watching these videos I like the way you explained the diagnosis,
also I like the way you troubleshoot it, and challenge the viewer on what to do next,
I think that is so cool, so I hope you are still making videos I really enjoy them thank you, for your help,

MOAArtstore says:

I should add, this is a 98 Tahoe 4dr 4×4 with 184K miles from Texas with no corrosion. I replaced the OEM pump with an Airtek.

MOAArtstore says:

I’ve been having a no start problem. I assumed it was the pump, changed it and no effect. I changed the fuel relay, still no-go. I am not getting anything for current on the control side, although the 87 pin is hot and I have a good ground on 86. I tried jumping 87 to 30 and still nothing. I guess I lower the tank and recheck the connector leads in the morning. Any other suggestions? Thanks

knight7512 says:

i have no power to the fuel pump i tried the same u did but no power i tried jumping like u did with the wire jump and was still no power so no idea from there i have a 97 chev suburban with a 350 vortech

Jeff Tee says:

WOW….schematics FINALLY make sense to me. Great Video! Especially the fact you did everything old school as well as posting the diagram while explaining the relay. It really simplifies everything making it much easier to digest. Thank you!

Jcooks1012 says:

Excellent video my Tahoe was doing the same thing, used a wire and it crunk right up. Used a extra fuel block now my truck is running good!!!! Thanks….

FRAZEak47 says:

Lisa Brayman says:

I have an 89 Nissan Pathfinder. Could you possibly add more videos on Nissan 3.0L Vg30i. I dropped the idol stop solenoid down spark plug hole. I watched your video on timing belt thermostat and water pump replacement last summer and did the work myself since bad times left me without a mechanic. So any advise?

arockpc says:

Hey I have a 1997 c1500 305 pickup. It starts when then the outside temp is 50degrees or higher but, below 50degrees it cranks strong but does not start. Fuel pump is working and pressure is good. Got spark, battery is good, i am stumped. Do you have any idea or have you heard of this before?
